This stay at Maggie May exceeded our expectations by far, beautiful sights, lovely people an authentic and rustic experience and a first if you have not experienced life on the water but always wondered. This place will knock your socks of. Well done Maggie May and thank you for making our stay comfortable and pleasant.

We were going to the Addo Elephant Reserve and the property is a 5-minute drive from the south gate. Upon arrival, we were greeted by our host, Leanne. She was incredibly informative about the park and the local area. She recommended a local restaurant that served delicious food and gave us information about local facilities. She gave us a tour around the property to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. The property was incredibly clean and well-presented throughout. It is light (large windows) and airy. The veranda overlooking the river was one of our favourite places to sit. We watched the sun rise and set over the Addo River and we watched a pair of Mongoose playing in the field behind the house. We took a stroll down to the river and watched life go by from the pier. The bedding/towels/soft furnishing etc. was immaculate and the beds were sensationally comfortable. The bathroom facilities were top-notch (hot water & good water pressure). We also appreciated the fact that the car parking was undercover, so our vehicle was constantly in the shade. A cool car in November in South Africa is a definite blessing. We did not use the pool, but it was lovely, clean and private. We loved our stay and would recommend this excellent property very highly. Thanks, Leanne for making our stay as perfect as it was.

El Sundune Guest House está situado a orillas del río Sundays y ofrece un jardín con terraza. También hay un salón compartido. Is was great we felt home right away. The hotel manager was the most nice and hospital person with wonderful recommendations and tips. She took great care of us. Breakfast was great, location is very convenient towards addo elephant park (South Gate) with shop, restaurant at walking distance. Beds were very good, WiFi was good. I would definitely come back.

Happy Jackal is conveniently located 2 km from the South Gate to Addo National Park. This guest house features an outdoor pool and the spacious rooms come with satellite TV, and a refrigerator. The breakfast was really good and even included fresh bread. The room was very quite and clean. There is an Eco side to it as sink water is used to water the grass. Excellent location.
