Gostevoy Dom was a highlight of our stay in Azerbaijan. The people are so warm and welcoming anyway but Vilayet and her husband are especially welcoming and hospitable. You feel welcomed into their home as if you're old friends. It was early Spring when we arrived so the blossoms were just coming out in the courtyard. There are swinging seats and you can easily while away time just drinking in the sounds and sights of the garden. Rooms are impeccably clean and bedding is ironed and fresh with slippers provided. We had a couple of problems with hot water but it was fixed quickly. One of the problems is that the tap is the wrong way around so hot is cold and cold is hot which we didn't realise! But once it was all working the shower was hot, powerful and divine. We ate breakfast and dinner with Vilayet and her husband. The food was delicious and straight out of the garden! Organic and fresh! It was a real treat. These are some of the loveliest people you will meet! Thanks so much Vilayet and Garib! We will be back 🧡

You can reach the bus station, old city, and bazaar within a 20-25 minute walk. The family that owns and runs the guesthouse are some of the nicest and most genuine people you will ever meet.
