The room was good. It was exceptionally clean when we arrived. Everything was as it should be. Breakfast was excellent. I can't say enough good about that. They asked what we wanted and then prepared it fresh for us. The hosts were also very gracious. When my wife accidentally knocked the soap dish off the shower wall, we were ready to pay for the damage. They were very gracious and waved away our offer to make it right, saying accidents happen.

We had a wonderful stay. The whole place is quite romantic and relaxed. Decoration is very good and has a bit of history, that the host will tell you about. The bedroom has a bathroom (with a big bathtub) and another one with just a toilet, a small living room with TV and sofas, and a room with two twin bed, that they kindly displayed together since we were a couple. Toiletries, towels and bathrobes were provided and good quality. Everything was quite clean. The place is very quiet, no noise whatsoever and quite close to Ullswater. The hosts were amazing, giving us plenty of suggestions of what to do around the area, they respect your privacy while being completely available. You have a place to park easily, and the hosts gave accurate directions. Honestly my favourite part was the breakfast which was excellent!! Probably the best breakfast I ever had on a hotel/BB! Everything was very fresh and made with excellent ingredients - you have a time slot and let them know what you want in advance (you have several options) and they will cook in for that time, so everything is fresh and warm. We were very glad we chose this place and would definitely stay again.
