What a stunning stay! Prime location and wonderful hosts. Lina and Alessandro were so kind and welcoming, giving us recommendations and helping us with all our (many) questions. The decor and details were so charming. Lots of restaurants and famous villas close by, with various activities (motorboat, horseback, cooking classes, and more) that the hosts can assist you with. Also such a comfy bed! Would 100% come back!

A very accommodating host. I was pleased to not have to share the bathroom. Breakfast had lots of options, and a great view from the outdoor dining table. The location was very quiet and had a great view of Lake Como.

On arrival, Giulio served us an apperatif with cheese and dried meat plate as a welcome, check in was smooth and quick. The room was magnificent with a wonderful view and very big terrace with relaxing beds. The was spacious, very clean with big bathroom, comfy bed. Location is around 15-20 min walk from St Giovanni public beach and Giardini de Melzi and around 25-35 min on foot from Bellagio where you can take the ferry or ship to other cities as well as many restaurants and shops. Giulio provided us with small router for wifi, network generally can be sometimes slow because of the mountains, not really host fault. Breakfast was nice with varities of cheese, ham, juice, yoghurt, boiled eggs, jam, butter and fresh croissants as well as coffee and tea sitting by a terrace with beautiful view. Paola was very nice, always serving with a big smile.Check out was smooth and quick with a nice gift of Dolce and Cabana pasta from Giulio.

We really liked Locanda della Maria. It is approximately a 20 minute walk from Bellagio however the ferry departure point is just down the road which is very convenient. From the advice of the lovely ladies who work here we bought an all day ticket and visited the surrounding villages. Breakfast was nice. Our room was spotless, spacious and on the first floor which we appreciated as there is no elevator for big luggage. Nearby there is a little 'beach' where we saw a swan and beaver (a nice surprise). The safest bus stop to get off at is San Giovanni Al Ponte.

We had a great view from the windows of the hillside and it was quiet and peaceful being a little up from the lake. The host was lovely and prompt to respond, and left us a contact with their housekeeper for fast communication via WhatsApp, and were also kind enough to leave us a bottle of Prosecco upon arrival. The furniture is very comfortable despite being old, and is very charming. We were very comfortable for our stay.

Also, they helped us get around the area. The breakfast was very good with mostly local, good quality ingredients. The villa has a private parking and it has a great location for visiting lake Como - close to the most known touristic spots. Also, the bed was comfortable - we had a good rest.

It's very quiet due to its more remote style location in a less 'touristy' town on lake como. We stayed over 3 nights and the villa was better than expected, private, remote and with every amenity you'd ever need on a short or even long stay. The host is an absolute delight too and couldn't be more polite or helpful by giving local tips and answering every need of ours! Couldn't recommend more.

The hot tub was great to come back to after hot and busy day. The air conditioning made it more bearable for sleeping etc. as the temperature was in the 30’s.
