This was our favorite place that we stayed during our two week vacation in England! The quality is very high. Bed was comfortable, nice heated floors in the bathroom, robes to wear, beautiful view out the window, delicious scone greeting us. The list goes on. Also, breakfast was delicious!

Avenue House is located in Bakewell, within 2.4 km of Haddon Hall and 3.3 km of Chatsworth House. Built in 1900, the property is within 2.8 km of Ashford Castle. Free WiFi is available. The room was fantastic (room 7). Yes, there are more stairs up to this level but we couldn't fault anything.

The staff was very friendly, the room incredibly clean and the breakfast was nice to start our day with. Our dogs were welcome in the restaurant downstairs, and the food was very good as well! The location is a perfect starting point for beautiful hikes, particularly Mam Tor. We will definitely be back.

Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. A lovely bright bathroom. We felt very welcome as soon as we arrived. Lynn gave us lots of information about the area. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice.. Nothing seemed too much trouble. We wish we could have stayed longer.
