Absolutely superb boutique accommodation, right on the Backwaters... best so far. We had 2 rooms and the very welcome plunge pool. Everything about the place was serene and relaxing. David is a wonderful host, and we enjoyed chatting with him about his experiences in our country, Ireland. Anish was extremely helpful, especially on arrival after our long journey. We did kayaking, and canal tour from the accommodation and really enjoyed these. The location is sublime...right on the river. I'll never forget that sunrise. We enjoyed a delicious home-cooked dinner on the deck. Just book it!!

Kerala cottage is set on the seafront in Varkala, a few steps from Odayam Beach and 400 metres from Edava Beach. The staff here have been the biggest highlight. They have been so friendly and helpful, outstanding services and always keen to service us at their best abilities. The property is so peaceful and has a lot of privacy.. The cottages have a beautiful sea view. Recommend to definitely try this out.

Set within 200 metres of Alleppey Beach and 2.6 km of Thumpoly Beach, Neela Waters - Beach Home provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Alleppey. We stayed in the corner room, so we had this beautiful view of the sea from every window. The room itself is tastefully decorated and has AC and a fan. The host, Anup, was very helpful and a great conversman. Service was splendid, and breakfast was delicious.

This bed and breakfast offers free private parking and a 24-hour front desk.... Fantastic hotel with extremely friendly owner. We stayed there for one night and it was great! Clean rooms and bathrooms , just in the Munnar centre. Some great motorbike routes around ( we are bikers) and the most beautiful tea plantations. Highly recommended!

Located within 4.3 km of Kollam Railway Station and 4.9 km of Thangassery Light House in Kollam, Ashtamudi Villas provides accommodation with seating area. This is a very travellers friendly hotel. It's right by the lake and has a lovely green garden full of palm trees and other greenery. Hammocks between the trees and also a canoe. All the rooms have a private terrace with table and chairs. Large and spotless clean room with an excellent bathroom. Friendly English speaking staff. Excellent WiFi, coffee and tea sold by the pot, and cold ones in the fridge. Can't get much better than that. They arrange tours to Monroe Island as well. The hotel is far from town, but you can get there with a local bus for just 10 RP, either from the main road just up from the bus station, or from the school junction where you can jump off your incoming bus if you are coming from the north. Best place to stay as the town centre has completely lost all its travellers atmosphere.
