Fantastic property - never stayed on a houseboat before but it was superb. Everything I needed was there, very comfortable and the location was idyllic.
The location, the view from the property over looking the Craighouse, watching the comings and goings of the yachts, fishing boats & seaplane, walking distance to the community shop & other retailers, the Antlers Cafe (Great Food), Lussa Gin etc a great visit, the coastal & inland mountainous walks, the scenery, the sandy beaches, the ability to cycle, kaya, snorkel, fish all from the property, lots of options.
The house boat was fabulous with everything you would need. Views were lovely. Enjoyed the peace and quiet, the kayaking and the wildlife. Met Ewen on arrival greeted us and told us all about the area, very informative.
Location was perfect, by the canal and while close to the centre, it was away from the busy noise of the city. Lovely yachts and boat sail by. Breakfasts were delicious; freshly cooked with a choice of anything we wanted as well as beautiful fresh fruits.
We had a Queen room which was quite compact but the space was well utilised providing outstanding comfort. The boat was o a great location; 10min walk to Royal Yacht Britannia and only a short bus ride into Edinburgh city centre.
Quirky boat Hotel which was cosy and comfortable as well as spacious. Was a great experience and stay.
Difficult to imagine a more beautiful view to wake up to. I can't tell you how many hours were spent just looking across to the Isle of Bute watching the yachts and boats on the water. Wonderful
Great location, great facilities. Loved the house boat.
I reserve a full 10 score for exceptional accommodation in exceptional locations; the type of accommodation you return to for an extended stay. If your ideal holiday is leisurely relaxing in a room over looking the sea, watching the small car ferry chugging back and forth, the fishing boats and yachts going in and out of the harbour (a pleasant 10 minutes stroll away), a heron standing hopefully on the rocky shore below your window.... then hard luck because we might have booked it already!
