The staff were attentive, nice to talk to and gave excellent recommendations for what to do in Glendalough. The place is super homey and extremely adorable. We only stayed one night but would have stayed longer if we didn't have to leave! We will definitely consider going back.

Our host(s) were very attentive, helpful, and responsive, without ever getting in the way. All the appliances & furnishings were new and of good quality. The place was spotlessly clean and the heating and WiFi worked well without any fuss. The little trimmings like the detergent left out for the dishwasher or laundry washing machines, or the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser in the showers, or the complementary breakfast items left out, or the many useful kitchen utensils, made us feel right at home straight away.

The property was private and we felt safe. You enter through a private gate and there is ample parking. The 1st floor apartment was spacious clean and cosy with everything you could want from a self catering point of view. In the village of Roundwood there is every amenity you could wish for such as a butchers, village store that sells hot food. There is also an artisan tea shop and bakery all within walking distance of the property.

Powerscourt and glendalough are about 25 minutes away so perfect for day trips. It's a really peaceful area and make it easy to unwind. It feels as if we are on a retreat. The lodge is well layed out and has everything you'd need. 5 of us stay there and there is plenty of room. It even has a selection of books so I never travel with any when I'm going there!

Our room was clean, everything was fairly basic but good value for money. We were visiting family who live in the village and the hotel was a 5 minute walk to their house so the location was perfect for us. We have already booked our next stay later on in the year!
