While the room and facilities were just what you can reasonably expect for this price, what really sets Bungkhim Homestay apart is the family who runs it. After many hectic and stressful months, from the moment I arrived I felt some inner peace settle, brought on by the warm welcome, sitting together companionably and our chats. That's not to forget the lovingly prepared and delicious breakfast. When they found out that I am vegan, they immediately made sure I got something appropriate. Even at family dinner both me and the other guest were included as if we had always been a part. When a mud slide cause the road back to Bagdogra to be blocked, their daughter and son in law actually brought me to the airport. 7 hours of driving in one direction, just so I wouldn't miss my flight! I am glad I chose Bungkhim and I hope I can visit them again and introduce them to my wife!

The rooms are really lovely! Comfy and very clean, nice shared balcony too. Host is super kind and helpful! Helped booked a trip to Tsomgo Lake, and helped with taxis/planning our trip. Location is also great, a short walk out of the busy Marg, and all for a very good price. Would recommend !!

Very friendly host whom has thought of every detail. Everything is super clean, comfy and the shower water is hot with fan for circulation. There is a kitchen, dining table, kettle, toaster, utensils, plates, cups and everything. An iron and ironing board is available, like at home. Huge cupboard to secure storage and individual shoe compartment. Curtains on the dorm beds for extra privacy, charging sockets and light, cooling fans in the room. Complimentary breakfast. I am travelling from last 3 year’s this is my first time in life I got so good Homestay in Gantok 🫶🏻 the owner and his family member’s r so good behaved and respectful I Love it and if I go Sikkim I will again visit this home stay I love it
