It is a fantastically modern setting built within a rustic castle. The apartment has incredible views to the lake and all the modern amenities over two floors. There is a private, protected car park and an elevator to take you to the top. The kitchen was stocked with oils and spices and there was a starter bottle of water and some candy available. There was a washer for clothes with detergent and a washer for dishes with detergent. Baveno was only a short walk away.

We also enjoyed the breakfast of fresh pastries and other European fare. Natalino, who co-owns this historic family villa with his brother, was such an interesting person who seemed to take delight in sharing with me (in English) the history of the Villa pre–WW I, the tragic role it played in WW ll, and how his family eventually became the owners of it. The view from the balcony and the garden to the Boromeo islands was really beautiful! It has private parking place in front if the building. The staff was really kind and helpful with all the questions of the guests. Surely I would come back again.
