The retreat is a beautiful oasis in Mai Chau. The pool is a special gem of the retreat. We loved that it was eco friendly and all of the products and food spoke to this. The meals were delicious and fresh. The room was comfortable and had AC which was a pleasant touch. The property is beautiful and was the perfect place to stop and relax for a day. Highly recommend!

The hosts, Ms. Hanh Lim and her mom are very kind and thoughtful people. It was the best place we stayed in Vietnam. Her place was spotless and comfortable. We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights and ate breakfasts and dinner there. Dinner was plenty and great food. Breakfast was simple, but tasty. The showers were so inviting as they were carefully designed by allowing us to take hot showers over smooth stones. We were able to use her free bikes and biked through the beautiful rice paddies. We had our laundry washed and neatly folded for free. While Mai Chau is a simple village, the view of the rice paddies were so calming and beautiful. We highly recommend staying here for at least one night. You won’t regret it. We chose to stay for 3 nights and took day trips to Pu Luong and the glass bridge in Moc Chau. Pu Luong was beautiful, but the glass bridge was over priced and the view not worth the visit as you look out onto an eroded dirt mountain. The best part of our stay was getting to know Ms. lim and learned about her journey to make the Lim’s house Homestay happened. It took her 15 years to build the place, with just her and her brother. We were also impressed with Ms. Lim’s philosophy in ecotourism. She is an amazing woman with a kind heart who generously helps villagers in need. If we ever come back, we would stay at Lim’s house again. The only thing we would wish is for the beds to be softer, but this is a minor thing. Ms. Lim is well connected in the community. If you need a ride to other areas while staying at her place, she can arrange that easily.

One of the best homestay we stayed in Vietnam across our 6 weeks trip. The property is beautifully located in midst of rice fields and Mountain Views. We spent two nights here and we didn’t come across any better spot in Mai Chau to enjoy the scenery while dining. So for the two days, we had our meal and drinks here watching beautiful landscape. It definitely deserves more than 10 rating. The host family is such lovely people -always smiling, polite and helping out with every question we had. The breakfast is very hearty and very organic and fresh. Fruits, cakes, bread, your choice of eggs, coffee, tea, juices. very well thought and very customer centric approach. Highly recommend.

The room was clean and comfortable, and is excellent value for money. When we arrived one of the family members booked a local guide from the village for us, to take us for a day trekking in the surrounding area. This was the best way to explore Mai Chau. We had breakfast and dinner at the homestay, where we ate some of the best food we had in Vietnam!
