The location is super convenient near the main road to Krueger Park but also near a large supermarket, petrol stations, and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!

It was just the perfect place to stay and the only one where I had to drag away my (crying) girlfriend. :) Driving up to the top of the hill feels like entering paradise. The hospitality of Rob is unmatched! Everything is possible: he planned our days, showed us around his house for the best sunset places, introduced us to his dogs, set up our private terrace with fire when the common one was getting too busy, ... The location is perfect and very convenient that you can join their 3-course diner at very honest prices whenever you want.

Before we reach the hotel, we drive through the avocado and macadamia plantation that belongs to the estate. Upon arrival, Tracey, the owner of Highgrove House, is waiting for us for a warm welcome, refreshing towels and a welcome drink. Tracey passionately talks about the history of the family business and shows us the beautiful gardens and main building. You imagine yourself in a bygone era. We notice that attention to detail will be the guiding principle for our stay here when we receive a tour and are escorted to our suite. Literally everything has been thought of. Over the past few days we have been spoiled culinary and we have really enjoyed the peace and nature. Nothing was too much for the team of Highgrove. We wished we could have stayed longer. We’ll be back!

This is an absolutely gorgeous guest lodge, with beautiful gardens, a pool, and beautiful views of the valley. The room was beautiful and 5 star. People were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed working and relaxing at Abangane and had quite a few good meals at the restaurants close by at Perry's Bridge in Hazyview.

Phil and Margi are wonderful hosts. They give you the feeling that you are staying with friends. Examples include getting my son a banana for breakfast and doing our laundry for free. I enjoyed the stay tremendously not least because of who we met at the Lodge.

Also, the service is exceptional, Berry and his team made sure we had the best experience (for e.g. providing blankets on our early morning safari, because it was a bit chilly). You have your own little area with two villas and your own pool, which makes it feel like you’re on a honeymoon, even when you aren’t.
