The beautiful swimming pool is large enough to swim and to relax . This is a quiet place and the owners will respect your privacy. I m very picky , and I really love this place. The price (about 100US$) is the good one compare to the price of many terrible hostels of the island.

They drove us through town with stops to the tourist center to get our park permit and to Tahai. They answered every question we had in WhatsApp using Google Translate since they spoke Spanish and only understood some English. The bed was comfortable with a linen change middle of our stay. The high temperature was about 75 F (24 C) in mid-February and opening the windows and turning on a small fan was enough to feel comfortable. The kitchen has a refrigerator, 2 burner stove, dishes and pans enough for us to cook our meals. The studio apartment was a good value.

This is a lovely place to stay on Rapa Nui. You are a short stroll to the center of town, to the Ahu Tahai and the ocean. Carlos and Pamela are the most gracious hosts. They will make you feel welcome and can help arrange tours, etc. You really could not ask for better hosts. The rooms are very nice and super clean, and have a small fridge. . My bed was so comfortable. The shared kitchen is spacious and clean and well equipped. There is a living room to hang out in and a nice backyard. Hostal Makohe, in my opinion, is really a step up from the usual hostal.
