A recently renovated property, Hostal La Terraza is situated in Quito near Sucre Theatre, El Ejido Park and Bolivar Theatre. Great location, very close to the historic district and most of the major attractions. The staff was very accommodating and communicating in English was never a problem. Very quiet nights, and plenty of very hot water. The view from the terrace makes it very clear how this hostel got its name. I highly recommend this facility, and I plan to return here later this year.

The staff were extremely kind, they even prepared breakfast for us at 4am and organized a taxi transfer to the airport. The room was big and comfortable.

Maria's efforts were particularly noteworthy, as she went out of her way to ensure that I got an early breakfast (before 7 am) on days when I had to leave for tours. Additionally, she was very kind to let me extend my check-out time.

A nice and friendly family running this hostal with a lot of love. Our room was amazing, the bath and shower top! The WiFi was good enough and the food was excellent. Free banana bread, tea, coffee and water made it just perfect. Go here and not in the overhyped cloud forest.
