Absolutely lovely hosts in a very comfortable home. Every detail had been thought about (including a wee torch next to the bed for night-time). The house is located right next to a lovely historic river walk down to the main town, with a bus-stop outside as a return option. Breakfast was extensive and delicious. We received a message from the proprieteurs before arrival with very detailed instructions for parking, entry and key collection from lock-box. Otherwise no direct contact but we received an advice that they were always available. The apartment is decorated and equipped to a very high standard and that makes everything work excellently. None of the dodgy furniture that is ruined in a season. Spacious everywhere, quiet and comfortable

It's a renovated 1930s house that the owner, David, lovingly restored. I had everything I needed for my stay and then some. The gardens and the exterior are peaceful and stately. The interior is immaculate and very comfortable. Additionally, there are bits of whimsy scattered throughout.
