Op de laatste dag moesten we vroeg weg naar het vliegveld, te vroeg om ontbijt te nemen maar toen kregen we nog een hele tros bananen mee van de oma. Ze verkopen ook boeken voor een klein prijsje.

Kalappura Houseboats & Tours bevindt zich op minder dan 1 km van tempel Mullakkal Rajarajeswari, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, een terras en een gedeelde keuken. We are a couple and went to Alappuzha/Alleppey and asked our host for a boattrip. Fortunately we found Jose Kalappura, he organized a convenient tailormade experience on two private traditional boats with modern facilities. We were lucky, because beforhand we didn't know the difference between cheaper tours on big boats vs. smaller boats with individual trip and different private experience. We startet with a tour on a small boat and went through smaller channels having local Breakfast, bigger boats can't pass there. Ad 12:00 we skipped on a different boat with private panoramic area on the first floor. We where alone, a really romantic trip. Having typical local fresh Lunch cooked on board by a chef, we stopped on the course for sightseeing. After a slow trip on a quite channel we could see a beautyful sunset and we had Dinner. We had a good Night in a full equipped clean room as we would expect in a city hotel. Our Captain found a good spot away from the busy areas where we enjoyed a beautyful sunrise. After a local Breakfast we left the boat with a big smile because of this outstanding experience. Thanks again to Jose and the Crew.

Words can't describe how I felt right from the home to The host, The ambience the food and one thing that I can never get it anywhere else is the genuine Love from both the couples Mr Harry and his wife adorable wife Aunty Mercy.They treated me like their own daughter and feed me not only breakfast but all the meals at home. They made sure of my safety going around and about alone. Waited for me to return at night to make sure I was safe. Always following up if I need anything. The food prepared by Aunty Mercy was wonderful..You can never ever find a homestay just like your own home anywhere else for all this years I have been traveling and staying in home stays.We had so much of laughter and jokes. Mr Harry was a wonderful Host who was so brilliant and knowledgeable he took care all of my needs..making sure everything was perfectly done and was there in order. My flight arrival was delayed wee morning due to a storm.Mr Harry waited for me greeted and welcome me wt an umbrella in the heavy rain wee morning at 3am .My pickup transport got cancel last minute due to my flight delay and Mr Harry immediately send a car to pick me up at the airport in the middle of the night His wife Aunty Mercy very concern my food She is the sweetest mother figure I have ever meet Who ever want a pinch of love this is the place to come and stay for a vacation. I have left my heart here In Sitara Homes and definitely will come back here again and again
