What makes your stay here really special is the heart connection you make with the people looking after your needs and wishes. I am touched by the genuine and hearty interaction with Mr. Arun, and his extended family. His brother Krishna cooked beautiful meals for us. Arunji’s father who is in his nineties, was still supervising construction work at the property. He offered us bagfuls of Kiwis from his garden. You also get to eat fresh organic vegetables grown right there on the farm. We came back home with three large squashes from their garden. The property has lots of beautiful trees and many flowering plants and orchids. Our travel needs were mostly met by Mr. Chetan who speaks English. He is a very careful driver and always keeps the comfort of his passengers in mind. His charges are very reasonable and he doesn’t overcharge you even if you are visiting from abroad. He knew that we were visiting from Canada but did not try exploit us. You don’t need to negotiate the price with him but you need to book him in advance since he is very much in demand. Staying here, you kind of become a part of their family.

Boasting city views, Lakeside Suites offers accommodation with terrace, around 3.2 km from Kalighat Kali Temple. Private parking is available on site. Lakeside Suites is a real gem in Kolkata. It's the southern part of the city, which is less busy but well connected by bus, taxi or rickshaw to other parts of Kolkata. There are many shops, tea stalls and eateries nearby, and even phone shops to get a local sim. The rooms are very clean and spacious - both my wife and I had space to do yoga in the room- and there is a shared living room and kitchen per floor. There is freshly made Indian-style breakfast is served every day. The owner Manoj, his son and the staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and also very helpful in helping us navigate things like doing laundry, using train apps and finding things. I have to stress, though, that this place is super clean and there is even filtered drinking water available for all the suites. We had to stay an extra day, and they quickly accommodated us as well. All in all, a really nice experience that in all honesty we were sad to leave behind.

Situated just 11 km from New Jalpaiguri Station, Newa House Homestay provides accommodation in Siliguri with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as full-day security. Very big and modern house with a lot of space. Many sofas and armchairs to relax. On the roof a huge terrasse. We stayed two nights for a great value. The hosts were very helpful, providing a taxi to Darjeeling and the airport. They took great care of us on our return as we were really sick. The cook prepared lovely food for us. Really enjoyed every one of the Homestay

Featuring free Wi-Fi throughout the property, CENTRAL is conveniently located just 1.8 km from the famous Victoria Memorial. We accidentaly only booked for 1 night , but when we arrived the manager immediately added the 2nd one without any problem , and helped us to find an uber to the airport, thank you!

Set in Bāruipur, 22 km from Kalighat Kali Temple and 24 km from Sealdah Railway Station, Tani s Homestay offers a garden and air conditioning. The cleanliness was exemplary. The interior design was very soothing and relaxing. Access to a kitchen and a balcony adds to additional amenities one might require in a homestay. The bathrooms were spic and span. One of the most important aspects of booking an accomodation. The premise has so much natural light and the greenery one can view is delightful. The elevators and common areas are top quality as well. The price is extremely affordable and dirt cheap for the kind of property you'll be staying in. Cheap motels cost much more these days. The owner was very cordial and helpful. She was extremely vigilant about the comfort of our stay. Her communication etiquette, willingness to provide related information and care towards hosting is something that needs mentioning here. These are necessary markers for a comfortable stay. I strongly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay around this pincode.

Set in Dam Dam, 4.1 km from Dumdum Metro Station and 10 km from M G Road Metro Station, Dey Niwas offers air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. Dey Niwas is unbeatable value for the price you pay. It's also very homely and perfect for relaxing. The apartment has more than enough to allow you to be self-sufficient. This includes a refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, hot pan and cutlery. There's a separate dining room, kitchen and toilet/shower. Lots of room and lots of rooms! The bedroom has a big comfortable double bed with a writing desk and a sofa. The A/C works well. I particularly liked the blackout in the night. Wooden shutters with curtains keep it dark in the morning and the small side road is very quiet, all of which allowed me to sleep peacefully. What's noticeable is how clean the entire apartment is. Everything also functions (e.g. no dripping taps) and looks new. I appreciated the large amount of sockets in all rooms, the water purifier and plenty of liquid soap, shower gel and toilet paper. All these amenities made it seem like I was staying in someone's well-kept home. The apartment is a few minutes’ walk away from many small shops, groceries and a street market selling fruit and vegetables. It's also ideally located to get to the airport quickly.  The owner, Kajal, was very helpful, making sure I found the location and booking tempos and taxis for me, even coming out to check my transport had arrived. I think Dey Niwas is an amazing place to stay and the owner's kindness helped make my travels a success. I highly recommend it.

Location is great, calm place away from the hustle and bustle. Infra as in rooms and surroundings are pleasant.
