Our room was superb, one bedroom, sitting room transformed onto second bedroom for the evening, another small sitting area with tea/coffee making facilities. both public and private onset, laundry room and great breakfast with choice of Japanese or western dishes.

Our family had unforgettable and wonderful moments at this Ryokan. Comfortable rooms, good Japanese bath facilities and a very special breakfast. My room was not only impeccably clean and well-maintained but also tastefully decorated, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed, and it truly contributed to the overall sense of luxury and relaxation. Of course, what truly sets your hotel apart is the unparalleled hospitality extended by your staff. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism.

Guesthouse SHIGI is located in Nakatsugawa, 46 km from Gero Station, 24 km from Ōi, as well as 24 km from Enakyo Wonderland. Great place to stay! Very beautifull, traditional house with a cosy kitchen. The rooms are really nice. Very close to the trainstation. Good place to stay if you are planning to do the Nakasendo hike. The host is super nice and very helpfull.

The space is comfortable and clean. The private onsen onsite was great. It is also very conveniently located. Highly recommend!

Our hostess was very welcoming. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The guesthouse was clean and comfortable. Everything was excellent.

The host was so polite and helpful. He recommended us some good restaurants and brote us to the bus station in the morning because the bus was not running due to Japan’ golden week! Great host!

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Guesthouse Gifu SUAI is situated in Gifu, 29 km from Nagoya Castle and 30 km from Nagoya Station. The location might seem a little far from the train stations, but the host offered afternoon pick up and morning drop off services. (If you don't have a lot of luggage to carry, the walk is easy enough too.) I saw information that guests can rent a bicycle now too, although I didn't ask about that. The room and bathroom had everything I needed. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming (and spoke English too), and the facilities were clean and comfortable. As mentioned in the information, they do have pets, but don't let that scare you off if you aren't a pet person -- the animals didn't seem particularly interested in the guests anyway.

Built in 2018, Itomori is located a 7-minute walk form JR Takayama Station. The old town of Takayama is 6 minutes on foot, while Takayama Jinya is a 10-minute stroll. We're having an amazing time at this place! The host is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always quick to answer our questions. The house is fully equipped with everything we need, making it both convenient to cook meals and close to some of our favorite destinations.
