Located in Shimanto, Shimanto River House Yuube-Tei features 2-star accommodation with private terraces. There is a private entrance at the holiday home for the convenience of those who stay. The place was awesome. The kitchen is completely equipped with everything you need. The place is quiet, big rooms, clean. One evening we even made barbecue outside, the host were wonderful and very helpful (they prepared us the table with lighting and a new grill). Every morning they gave us some gift like fresh fruits. They even took us to the station with their car the last day! Nakamura is a wonderful village with a lot of activities to do. We rented a bike at the station tourist office and rode up the shimanto river, amazing! Next time we will spend more days in this region, and surely return to this accommodation.

Situated in Shimanto-cho, EkimaehouseSamaru is a recently renovated accommodation, 13 km from Kaiyodo Hobby Museum Shimanto and 24 km from Monjudo Temple. My party had mechanical failure with one of our bikes when we arrived in the middle of a snow storm, and Ono-san went completely above and beyond to help us solve the problem and get where we wanted to go. The rooms were also very clean and nice. Thank you so much for your help and for a wonderful stay!

Situated in Konan in the Kochi region, Guesthouse Suisennosato features a garden. Everything!!! The host was a beautiful Gem of a woman who I just connected with, she has a good sense of humor and she honestly goes out of her way to make you feel at home , I highly recommend this place easy! Wifi brilliant, parking on-site, shower awesome, fridge great, bedding awesome, TV great and room was huge !! Air con worked awesome, 💪, and I would go back again easily ! ( And I'm eating more vegetables now 😀)...

Located a 12-minute walk or a 3-minute bus ride from JR Kochi Station north exit, Katsuo Guest House offers Japanese-style dormitory rooms with air conditioning. Maki was so friendly, welcoming and helpful! She recommended local restaurants for dinner, and invited me to join the tacoyaki party they were having that evening. The 8 bed dorm was lovely- gorgeous wood beds and cool decor. The beds were comfy and private. I was lucky since there were only 4 of us in the room, but I think it would be spacious enough even if it were full. Definitely the nicest guesthouse I’ve stayed at in Japan.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Carpe Diem Kamaida is set in Ochi, 22 km from Hijiri Shrine and 23 km from Odo Dam Museum. Excellent Hidden Property along the Niyodogawa river. Just beside the Aso Submersible Bridge. The quality of the house is so excellent that it is too underrated and the photos don’t do justice. The actual house seems to be so better and witty visiting.
