JamboHouse Lamu is set in Lamu, 400 metres from Gallery Baraka, 500 metres from Lamu Museum, and 500 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum. Location is nice, everything is clean, the roof top is a perfect place to chill, breakfast is delicious and Arnold and Fred were very helpful and smiling at any time. Do not hesitate !

Situated within 500 metres of Manda Beach and 500 metres of Shela Beach in Lamu, Jua House provides accommodation with seating area. I loved how clean it was and how much attention was paid to details. Thé staff, especially Amani were very friendly and helpful and helped me navigate my way around.

This historical Arabian-style building is located in the UNESCO-listed town of Lamu. It is less than 300 metres from the seafront and 3 km from the white sandy beach. Very unique property! Loved everything about it

Umma House has a terrace and is situated in Lamu, within just 300 metres of Lamu Museum and 500 metres of Lamu Fort. Guests staying at this villa have access to a balcony. The house is a beautiful gem within old lamu town. The architecture is stunning, the rooms are freshened by fans and the pool is great to escape the day’s heat. The house staff is incredibly helpful and Peter was a great caretaker. We would also warmly recommend arranging a tour of the old town and of shela, as well as a boat tour if one wishes, with Abu. Abu is knowledgeable and loves his job; he is a great storyteller and a great artist (ask to see his recycled art). Walking around Lamu with him and learning about this unique place from him was a wonderful experience.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, sea view and a terrace, Makubwa House is situated in Lamu. amazing Swahili house over 3 floors. comfortable for 5/6 people in 3 rooms with more beds in open areas. absolutely stunning place could have spent longer there. we organised for the chef to buy some groceries and cook us breakfast which worked really well.

Set 300 metres from Lamu Fort, Beytsalam offers accommodation with a shared lounge, a terrace and a shared kitchen for your convenience. Complimentary WiFi is offered. Breakfast was really nice, with a choice between Swahili and English style and it was served on the cozy rooftop terrace with views of the sea. I was lucky to be upgraded to their spacious and well-appointed "executive" suite on the third floor. Omar and Lilian were great to deal with at breakfast and with laundry etc., I appreciated the help they provided in many ways and look forward to coming again.

Offering a terrace and quiet street view, Wildebeeste Lamu is situated in Lamu, 300 metres from Lamu Fort and 400 metres from Gallery Baraka. This place never disappoints. This was my second time staying here and it still exceeded my expectations. The flat I stayed in was spacious and thoughtfully designed with some artful collections of antique Swahili style furniture. There was access to a private fully equipped kitchenette with an adjacent outdoor dining/ lounging area. The room was airy and well ventilated and also had a very spacious bathroom that had great shower pressure! Joshua is an exceptional host, responsive, warm and welcoming and very attentive. He has even made provisions for Solar lights in case of power outages which were infrequent during my stay and only lasted a few minutes at a time. The Wilderbeeste provides all the comforts and necessities of a home away from home yet its quirky and historical design provides a sense of adventure and novelty needed for a retreat! Can't wait to return for a longer stay!

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Banana House and Wellness Centre is located in Shela village, Lamu 2.7 km from Gallery Baraka. The property is set 2.8 km from Lamu Fort. This is a wonderful place to stay! It's a little haven from the busy lanes of Shela and Lamu Town .... so peaceful and calming. Its pretty garden, pool and relaxing ambience make it a stunning choice to totally unwind. Yoga and a massage spa are available. The staff are friendly and personable and the food is excellent. One evening we had a choice of a swahili meal cooked by local women ....incredible !! We loved our stay and were sad to leave.

Set within 100 metres of Lamu Museum and 200 metres of Lamu Fort in Lamu, Swahili Dreams Apartments offers accommodation with a kitchen. The design in this property is amazing, beautiful. The indoor pool is exquisite. The staff was excellent and the apartments large and comfortable.

Situated in Lamu, Authentic Swahili style villa Milele House offers accommodation with a terrace and kitchen. There is a private entrance at the villa for the convenience of those who stay. This villa was gorgeous, in the historic Swahili style of Lamu. We had the loveliest time here. The location is relatively quiet though you are in the middle of town - we walked everywhere easily. There is also good Wi-Fi which was great for us as we were working remotely on some of the days. The rooftop has a lovely breeze and sitting area where the Wi-Fi reaches. There is also a very nice sitting area around the small pool. Jamhuri, who welcomed us on arrival, was friendly and easy to communicate with. With enjoyed every moment of our stay and I would definitely return again.
