Tony and his crew are extremely helpful and nice people. It is always a pleasure to be welcomed with a warm smile. Room and common toilet are very clean and confortable. They are basic but more than enough for the price. Breakfast was delicious (it is a pitty that I could have it only one day) and I liked also the water refilling station. Tony helped me to organise my trip around Jaffna penninsula and Delft island. It was a pleasure to be hosted in Tony's Garden House inn and would repeat with no doubt.

Where do I even begin… Anathan’s place was an oasis, a safe haven for me after I spent a few days in the hectic and chaotic Colombo. From the very first moment that I arrived to the very last minute that I left, I always felt taken care of, spoiled almost, and above everything, I felt at home. In fact, Anathan’s place was so comfortable, so peaceful that it felt almost difficult to get out and explore the town. Obviously a home isn’t a home without its host. And for that, I have to thank Ananthan for going above and beyond to provide me with a comfortable stay. He always made sure that I had enough for breakfast, always asked if I wanted more tea and coffee (and yes, please), and even brought me along to the ceremonies at the Nallur temple where his family and friends were also there, welcoming me with unparalleled warmth and hospitality. Even though I was a solo traveller, I had never felt lonely during the entire stay. Ananthan was always there should I need anything. It brought me great joy and peace just to sit by the patio and listen to the singing of the birds and the rustling of the trees. I was sad that I could not stay longer. And I’d return, time and again.

We really liked Betty’s Cottage and the owners were really nice. They booked our bus from Colombo to Jaffna which was a huge help, and they waited up until 4 am for us to arrive. We had only booked the place for the following night so they charged us half a day. The breakfast offered was fine, nothing to rave about. The WiFi is really good! The hosts are also nice and very dedicated to making sure we got everything we needed.

Malabar Beach Walk er gististaður með garði í Jaffna, 11 km frá Jaffna-lestarstöðinni, 12 km frá almenningsbókasafni Jaffna og 12 km frá Jaffna-virki. An authentic Sri Lankan-style option. Secluded. Shaded garden with Palmyra palms and ferns. Mongooses and squirrels. This choice may suit the younger traveller seeking a peaceful stay. Host Adhi and his wife are charming and considerate.

The place is exceptionally quiet eventhough it is located in a neighbourhood. The owner, Nisha was friendly, caring, and professional. The place is new, clean and full of amenities. I would recommend Chety Villa without any reservations.

Malabar home stay er með garð- og garðútsýni og er staðsett í Jaffna, 3,5 km frá Jaffna-lestarstöðinni og 4,5 km frá Jaffna-almenningsbókasafninu. Very homely, room was large and clean with good airconditioning. The host was super nice, helpful and friendly, always around to offer help. His wife makes the most delicious home made Jaffna food, try the mutton and crab curry. The place is on a very quiet street, however, it was easy to get a tuk tuk in and out of town or to any place of interest.

Tommy and his family are special, we had a beautiful connection since the begging 😊 Delft Island is an hidden gem out of the touristic route and for us one of the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. What makes the difference is the people, always smiling and welcoming, and ready to help! Tommy's place is simply gorgeous, tents are comfortable and it has everything you need. You can also rent bikes to go around the island and explore. His mom cooked delicious breakfast and dinner for us, and it was the best food we've had 😊 I highly recommend Tommy's place because you can really feel the love he has put to build it. Flamingo Villa er staðsett í Jaffna, 100 metra frá Jaffna-lestarstöðinni og 1,6 km frá almenningsbókasafni Jaffna. Boðið er upp á garð og garðútsýni. Excellent customer service. The only property is a 5 minute walk to the Jaffna railway station. This was very convenient for me as I was taking an early morning train. The staff were very nice and did everything to make my stay comfortable. I’ll definitely be back
