Tony and his crew are extremely helpful and nice people. It is always a pleasure to be welcomed with a warm smile. Room and common toilet are very clean and confortable. They are basic but more than enough for the price. Breakfast was delicious (it is a pitty that I could have it only one day) and I liked also the water refilling station. Tony helped me to organise my trip around Jaffna penninsula and Delft island. It was a pleasure to be hosted in Tony's Garden House inn and would repeat with no doubt.

Where do I even begin… Anathan’s place was an oasis, a safe haven for me after I spent a few days in the hectic and chaotic Colombo. From the very first moment that I arrived to the very last minute that I left, I always felt taken care of, spoiled almost, and above everything, I felt at home. In fact, Anathan’s place was so comfortable, so peaceful that it felt almost difficult to get out and explore the town. Obviously a home isn’t a home without its host. And for that, I have to thank Ananthan for going above and beyond to provide me with a comfortable stay. He always made sure that I had enough for breakfast, always asked if I wanted more tea and coffee (and yes, please), and even brought me along to the ceremonies at the Nallur temple where his family and friends were also there, welcoming me with unparalleled warmth and hospitality. Even though I was a solo traveller, I had never felt lonely during the entire stay. Ananthan was always there should I need anything. It brought me great joy and peace just to sit by the patio and listen to the singing of the birds and the rustling of the trees. I was sad that I could not stay longer. And I’d return, time and again.

We really liked Betty’s Cottage and the owners were really nice. They booked our bus from Colombo to Jaffna which was a huge help, and they waited up until 4 am for us to arrive. We had only booked the place for the following night so they charged us half a day. The breakfast offered was fine, nothing to rave about. The WiFi is really good! The hosts are also nice and very dedicated to making sure we got everything we needed.

Malabar Beach Walk, a property with a garden, is located in Jaffna, 11 km from Jaffna Railway Station, 12 km from Jaffna Public Library, as well as 12 km from Jaffna Fort. An authentic Sri Lankan-style option. Secluded. Shaded garden with Palmyra palms and ferns. Mongooses and squirrels. This choice may suit the younger traveller seeking a peaceful stay. Host Adhi and his wife are charming and considerate.

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Chety Villa is situated in Jaffna, less than 1 km from Nallur Kandaswamy Temple and 2.2 km from Jaffna Railway Station. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered the Chetty Villa. It was beyond our expectations!!! Beautifully designed, well equipped and spotlessly clean villa. The property is situated in a very pleasant neighbourhood. The host (Nishaharan) was extremely helpful and kind. The staffs are also excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. Nishaharan was always available and nothing is too much trouble for him. Nishaharan organised everything that we wanted and he went over and beyond to help our needs. We had a pleasant stay here and we will certainly come back here again.

Offering a garden and garden view, Malabar home stay is situated in Jaffna, 3.5 km from Jaffna Railway Station and 4.5 km from Jaffna Public Library. Loved the place and the atmosphere. Rooms were quiet and cosy and the food was fabulous. Located close to many locations in Jaffna where you could easily visit. Host was very friendly and flexible with excellent response times for any help we required.

Facing the seafront in Delft East, Delft Village Stay has free bikes and a garden. Boasting a 24-hour front desk, this property also has a restaurant and a sun terrace. We really enjoyed our stay! Tommy and his family are special, we had a beautiful connection since the begging 😊 Delft Island is an hidden gem out of the touristic route and for us one of the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. What makes the difference is the people, always smiling and welcoming, and ready to help! Tommy's place is simply gorgeous, tents are comfortable and it has everything you need. You can also rent bikes to go around the island and explore. His mom cooked delicious breakfast and dinner for us, and it was the best food we've had 😊 I highly recommend Tommy's place because you can really feel the love he has put to build it. Offering a garden and garden view, Flamingo Villa is set in Jaffna, 100 metres from Jaffna Railway Station and 1.6 km from Jaffna Public Library. Excellent customer service. The only property is a 5 minute walk to the Jaffna railway station. This was very convenient for me as I was taking an early morning train. The staff were very nice and did everything to make my stay comfortable. I’ll definitely be back
