I loved everything about the property, the room was super clean (it smelt so fresh), the breakfast was delicious and the hosts Ashley, Varsha and the mother were hospitable. Jay is a fantastic and very welcoming host. We were welcomed like at home, with a cold drink and cool towels, after a long all-day trip. The apartment was spacious, convenient and very clean, there was a beautiful view from the balcony (a small beautiful garden with many species of domestic an more exotic plants - home to a red fody family). Fantastic rooftop and common spaces. We stayed there for one night only but we felt like at home. I really recommend Jay's place for a longer stay. It's not located directly at the beach but it's calm, offers a beautiful view from the roof and most importantly you can stay at a place owned by someone who grew up there and can tell you a lot about Mauritius. If you have a car you can easily reach both the noth and south of the island (also by bus, but a bit more difficult). The place is also very close to the Bras D'eau reserve and Poste La Fayette beach which is one of our favorite ones in Mauritius. Definitely worth it.

She picked me up from my boat tour, she gave me the best recommendation for a local massage and dinner. The place was beautiful and spotless. I felt so comfortable. Thank you so much Kirstin for making my stay in Trou d'eau douce a memorable one. I'll be back! Much love ❤️

Located in Grande Rivière Sud Est, 17 km from Belle Mare, Riverside Holiday Home provides a terrace and free WiFi. A huge terrace with the view on the river to relax.

Horisun offers accommodation in Belle Mare. The guest house has a barbecue and terrace, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. Horisun really exceeded our expectations. The room was very spacious and bathroom also. Very clean and calm. The AC was great. They changed the towels every day. The owners are the nicest people that I have met and talking to them was a fun experience. They arranged us a tasty dinner and arranged a taxi when we went on. I was breathless when I saw their beautiful garden. The walk to the beach was only 10 minutes. I could go on but I have to say you can't go wrong visiting Horisun when you want to stay at Belle Mare.

Blue Ocean Suites and apartments is a set of 6 suites and apartments situated right on the beach of Trou d’Eau Douce. It was really clean and new furniture

The staff was very friendly, and the house was really clean. The staff took care of us carefully so that we would not be uncomfortable, and although it was a short stay, he did his best. I strongly recommend this place

The house is located in a new neighborhood just a few minutes drive from the beach. Nice and quiet area which felt very safe. The house is big and airy, decorated with nice new furniture (very comfortable sofa) and everything you need if you feel like cooking. AC in the bedrooms for a good night’s sleep. Secure parking. The lovely Mehzabine met us when we arrived to give us the keys and to show us around and we also met Vikram the owner. The pool is not very big but everything you need to dip and stay cool.
