We would highly recommend El Peregrino to anyone visiting Ometepe. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were cleaned every day, there is a mosquito/insect screen door so your room is always comfortable plus a fan in the room. The location is great, base yourself here with a scooter, there is no need to stay on the other side of the island. The communal areas make it easy to mix with other people and you are embedded in nature. José the owner was incredibly helpful to us throughout our stay. The kitchen was excellent. The garden was full of fruit and veg which we were free to use. Amazing place!

Ananda Guest house is located on the slopes of the Maderas Volcano on Ometepe Island, 19 mi from the port of Moyogalpa. Location is perfect, great view of the volcano, amazing garden. Lots of birds and howler monkeys. Miguel and his brother were very helpful and nice. Local breakfast prepared just for us by amazing señoras! If you are looking for quite spot with lots of nature this is the place to be.

Set in Moyogalpa, Casa de Gio offers free WiFi and units fitted with a kitchenette and seating area. Some units have a dining area and/or a patio. It's a wonderful place to stay, tucked away from the main street, quiet and cozy but still very central. You can easily get to ferry terminal, supermarket, local shops and restaurants. The place itself is lovely. It's like a mini paradise with lots of greenery, many hammocks and tables and chairs on veranda by your room. We originally booked for 2 nights but ended up staying for 5 nights and would have loved to stay longer. There is a fully equipped kitchen, so we could cook and even make smoothies. Unlimited filtered water, space in the fridge to cool off delicious watermelons, lots of rocking chairs too. The hosts keep the place very clean, did our laundry and helped to arrange trips as there is lots to see and do in Ometepe. A home away from home. Loved it!

The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

Amazing location on the sunset side of the island with a private beach. Great value for money. Very friendly owners with great communication. They make lovely meals. Room was basic but everything was clean and neat and there is a fan for the warm weather. Would definitely return.

Located in Moyogalpa in the Ometepe region, Hostal tortuga viajera features a garden. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Eric the receptionist is a legend. They did my washing for cheap and we're very helpful overall. The hostel had a good vibe too!

Charmingly decorated property with a lot of greenery. We had a lovely private cabin with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. Lots of friendly animals on site. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
