The lodge had everything we need for our 2-nights stay to explore and hike nearby. Its indeed seems the hosts thought about everything. Part of a larger house, Frankie & Hugh's is a renovated, self-contained apartment situated in Ohakune, just a 20-minute drive from the Turoa ski field on Mount Ruapehu. The location!! Darling cottage in a beautiful garden. Host is so nice.

What wonderfull greeting from Alison and Ron and what a beautiful accommodation. Very comfy beds, each with own shower room (small but very functional). Alsion had already setup the table for breakfast the next morning, cereal, croissants, milk, juice, butter, jams ..... use of microwave, fridge, washing machine.Gas fireplace made it very cosy and our son was super happy to have the extra TV channels to watch the football world cup. Unfortunatly only stayed one night so did not see much of outside ameneties of the village but would have happilly stayed 4-5 days extra ... specially due to such a wonderfull, welcoming, helpfull couple, Alison and Ron !

We were very impressed with everything Daniel & River Lodge had to offer. The room was beautiful, had all the facilities we required, great shower, stunning view of the mountain. Breakfast was exceptional, much more than we had expected.
