It is a family run business, created by the father who died only 2 years ago and was a much loved desert conservationist and guide. We were beautifully looked after from the moment of pick up in Muscat by Abdullah for whom no request was too much trouble to our arrival in camp. He acts as the best guide, so you see and experience the very best of Omani hospitality. Rasheed manages the business and Hamid runs the camp very well to maken sure our desert experience is unique. We were lucky to have the whole desert camp to ourselves for the two nights, so we enjoyed private sundowners and stargazing without any interruptions! prompt morning pick-ups took us to a delicious breakfast in the main Nomandic camp. The whole camp has been thoughtfully designed to fit into the landscape with a totally natural feel. The tents are lined in colourful carpets to retain local design feel and comfortable beds. The camp is unique in every way and well worth the adventure. It is completely authentic. The whole team speak excellent english and Abdullah has a terrific sense of humour. We could not recommend a stay there more highly.

Exceptional stay with even greater hosts. The camp is quiet, clean and serene. Located at the top of the dunes making sunsets and sunrises particularly accesible. The tents were made for a good nights sleep the authentic food was a treat. Fayez and the team made us feel at home. We will be back! Definitely the camp of choice if looking for a calm desert stay.

Ras Al Hadd Orchid está a 2,2 km de Playa de Al Hadd y ofrece jardín y salón de uso común, así como alojamiento con aire acondicionado, patio y wifi gratis. The host definitely made this stay so much better! Hé is very kind and prepared a wonderful diner and breakfast for us. He even showed us a baby turtle that got lost and made it to the guest house (turtle will be returned to sea ofcourse). You can easily go to the turtle reserve from here to go on a turtle tour. ( I would actually not recommend this as it is clearly a tourist trap and over 100 people will look at one turtle). The host can book a boat tour for the same amount, I wish we would’ve done that. Great stay!

El SAFARI-Glamping ofrece alojamiento en Bidiyah, a 50 km de Wadi Bin Khalid y a 20 km del desierto de la localidad de Al Hawaiyah. Our experience at Safari Glamping was really amazing. We tried a lot of delicious traditional food, rented quad bike from a nearby camp, which is owned by the same person, and he invited us for a dinner at this bigger camp, where we had the opportunity to speak with him about his life as a beduin. The host in our camp was really nice and helpful, prepared fire and a really good food for us and as we were lucky to be alone there, we had a chance to speak with him. The room was really clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We drove to the camp by our 4WD car and it was simple and without any problem. You just need to have your tires deflated beforehand. 100% recommended experience worth the money.
