The couple that hosted me were wonderful. We had a lovely, long chat, and a pleasant homemade dinner. It felt like staying woth a friend or a relative. It was exactly what I had hoped for. Breakfast is freshly made by the staff and it's delicious and nutritious. Great to have a lift in the house especially for elderly and those with heavy luggages.

A recently renovated guest house in Miaoli and with Tai'an Hot Spring reachable within 31 km, 小仙肉包棟民宿 features a garden, rooms, free WiFi and a terrace. Communication was prompt and checkin instructions were clear, including directions for parking (bonus for those who are driving). Although within an old building, the rooms and toilet are modern and comfortable enough. The owner put alot of thought into the decorations and it is tasteful and photo worthy. We stayed as a couple and had the whole house to ourselves, but would be ideal for larger groups too. There are some board games provided for entertainment. For international travellers, do note that you are unable to pay the deposit so please communicate with the owner to prevent any misunderstandings. Appreciate the owner for honouring our reservation and allowing us to pay on the day of our stay.
