Trogon Lodge is located 1.5 km from San Gerardo de Dota town centre and 9 km from Los Quetzales National Park. It features an extensive garden, a terrace and BBQ facilities.

Beautiful location, absolutely stunning views of the forest. Staff extremely friendly and helpful but not overbearing. Lots of beautiful birds around. Highly recommend taking the quetzal tour to see this amazing bird with Grieven, who is really an expert on these creatures. There is also some very nice, but very hilly and tough hikes on the property which are worth the climb. Highly recommend

Awesome! The property is located in a lovely valley. A short hike takes you to a tree with Resplendant Quetzals; we didn't even have to go to a park to see them. If you're a trout lover, you're in luck; there are gfresh trouts on the premises. One of us is vegan and the staff always found a way to cook him up something delicious, off menu.

Quetzal Valley Cabins is located in San Gerardo de Dota, in Los Quetzales National Park. This eco-friendly property features more than 5 km of on-site hiking trails, plus free fishing and parking.

Cabins are ideally located to see the quetzals and other birds - cabins are very rustic and comfortable with plenty of blankets during cold nights and equipped with standup electric heaters we enjoyed our stay here despite a mixup at Miriam’s Restaurant who sent us to another mountain resort owned by her daughter despite knowing we were booked for Quetzal Valley Cabins which we felt was very unethical and un businesslike of Miriam and her daughter. It was eventually sorted and we were met by Nelson who was a very nice and kind man showing us to our cabin and his son in law Jairo who is an excellent guide for spotting the quetzals.The property has lots of trails and a river flowing through it so it’s really best place in Quetzal Valley to see this beautiful bird.

    Pohvalim čisto vse, razen ceste, ampak takšna je večina v celi Kostariki. Hišica se nahaja v čudovitem kotičku narave. V tej dolini je res hladno, vendar je potrebno vedeti, da se nahaja na nadmorski višini prek 2300 m. V hišici je vse potrebno, ob njej je parkirišče, v bližini restavracija, če pa ob tem vidite tudi kvecale pa to odtehta vsako pomanjkljivost.
