Wow. We are huge fans of the Gurkha Lodge. The brothers that run the place are so incredibly lovely. They were so helpful with all aspects of our stay including treks, buses, taxis. We stayed for much longer than expected because it was so nice. It’s a real hidden gem that quickly felt like home. The garden is stunning and it doesn’t really feel like you are in a city despite its central location. Hot showers available, Wi-Fi. We will definitely stay here again. Shandy helped us a lot, for us the location was great because it was in the mountains and for walking and the impressive views of the lake, and walking it really is 25 minutes to the lake.
