We liked everything, very private surrounded by trees so we had birds and a running stream. Wheelchair accessible room was excellent. We made good use of the shared kitchen which had everything we needed. Comfortable, clean and warm rooms. Would definitely stay again!

Located in Coromandel Town in the Waikato region and Driving Creek Railway and Potteries reachable within 4.4 km, Tui Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free private parking.

Not only the place was beautiful, but the owner was so kind and helpful! The tui lodge is definitely one of the best places we have stayed so far. Simple, clean, quiet, affordable. Although the place has quite a few rooms, it never felt busy. You have 2 kitchens and several toilets around the area. It never gave me the "hostel impresion". Frances has a beautiful dog too! Her name is Nala, we love heeer! During a rainy day she also gave us some recommendations to hand around and to eat.. great!!!!

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

It was our first time staying down Coromandel and it was so beautiful, our host Baz and Cole were so welcoming they made it feel like home away from home, super helpful and friendly would definitely visit here again. It was a bonus that there was a fish fileting station also on premises that we had access to. We had Cabin 1 which was straight across from the bays view and was so beautiful waking up to. Thank you both so much for accommodating us and sending us off with an experience we will never forget.

Lovely location amongst the wildlife. Great cabin arrangement with communal cooking facilities. The host (Hugh) was fantastic…very knowledgeable and great with our 4 year-old son. As always, just wished we had time to stay longer and explore!

Everything!! We stayed in Shepherd Hut and it was a cute cabin with comfortable bed and Seaview. The bay was gorgeous with a stunning sunset. The facilities were clean, the operators super lovely and a little food truck that made the best burgers. The camp site is small so not over flooded with tents and people. We were so relaxed and loved every minute of our stay!

The manager was very kind - took us down to see the chalet we had booked, but let us take a cabin instead as the chalet had steps & the cabin a ramp, which suited us much better. The location of the cabin was very nice, right beside the bay. The cabin itself was clean & warm with a verandah & table outside to sit & enjoy the evening. It was totally adequate for tourists like us who just needed a bed for the night. It is obviously excellent for the fishermen who can launch their boats from the camping ground.
