This is the premier wilderness location in Tasmania and having our own chalet where you can self cater or eat in the restaurant is great. The cabin was cosy, great heating options but there could have been a little more in the way of kitchen bits (like plastic and paper wrap and maybe cooking oil), the things you can’t bring when travelling. Overall though, loved every minute there and especially the cheeky Currawong (large bird), that visited hoping for handouts. (Don’t feed the wildlife, People!)
We stayed in one of the new 'deluxe cabins'. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We utilised the kitchen and it had everything we needed to cook a steak, hot dog etc... The cabin had a heat pump and a gas heater so we were warm and toasty. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated the electric blankets. The bathroom was huge and had heated flooring. Great location, just a stones throw away from the visitors centre and the shuttle busses.
location was great. easy in walking distance of the Cradle Mountain Visitor Center and shuttle service. The Cabin was big enough for the three of us. However, if it would be full (max 6 pax) it would be too small, as the kitchen table only had four chairds.
Great little cabin in the bush and you felt like you were the only ones there it was so quiet. Good kitchen and heater was very efficient. Close to shuttle bus up to cradle mountain walks and visitor centre.
We were in a pencil pine cabin with balcony overlooking the lake. It was a lovely room, the fire was fabulous and the balcony was great. We watched wallabies and wombats from the balcony. The weather was fantastic, so it was nice to sit out and enjoy the view. The proximity to the national park was a real bonus - We could just walk out of the hotel and catch the shuttle bus into the park and start one of the many walks. There were also lots of lovely walks within the hotel grounds.
We had a nice two bedroom Ed cabin. Well equipped and very close to the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre and shuttle bus to the NP.
The whole experience was awesome. The location was fantastic - straight across from the visitors' centre where the shuttle departs. The cottage was extremely comfortable with everything you could need, including a brilliant indoor fireplace to keep us warm and cosy. Great kitchen facilities so we didn't have to leave the comfort of the cabin to cook dinner. The cabins were spaced far enough apart to give lovely privacy and so many windows to admire the scenery.
Location is perfect for lots of walking, plus shuttle stop is very close. Our cabin was lovely, especially the fire which was prepared for lighting each afternoon. The whole set up with the boardwalks to the cabins is well thought out. The main lodge is just what you expect in the mountains, fireplaces everywhere, big comfy chairs. the staff were all outstanding, special mention to Alana and Carmel for their 5 star service. The food in both the restaurant and the tavern was very tasty and great selection.
location is amazing, right near shuttle bus and National Park entrance. cabins lovely and the fireplaces throughout the resort
Fantastic cabin with a fireplace; it was heaven. Perfectly situated in the bush but close to the visitor centre and shuttle bus to the park; not to mention the coffee shop.
