With La Fortuna Waterfall reachable in 5.7 km, Arenal Xilopalo offers accommodation, a restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a shared lounge. I loved everything about Arenal Xilopalo. From the moment we got there, the staff was so welcoming and nice. There was even a mix-up with the taxi picking us up at the airport which was no fault of theirs and they were so apologetic. I loved staying here and can't wait to be back. It was the best sleep I've gotten in a long time. And the location, was perfect. It really is very close to everything you may need. Thanks Arenal Xilopalo for making our first time to Costa Rica so special. Pura vida!

This place was great, and really feels like you’re staying a bit off the well worn tourist trail. Friendly staff, lovely cabins annd amazing tube tour of the river with awesome guides. We got a flat tire and Odir and his wife gave us incredibly helpful local knowledge and assistance. Wish we could have stayed an extra night!

This is a family-run business who cannot do more for their guests! All of the staff were so lovely, helpful, and informative about nature including giving us fruit picked from the trees! The breakfast every morning was delicious (defo go for the typical Costa Rican breakfast) cooked by the owners. We also ate from their restaurant which was YUMMY! Thanks to Chalets Silencio , we had a perfect stay with you! The nature here is breathtaking, the flowers, trees, fruits and so many animals!!! Note that the location of the lodge is outside of downtown La Fortuna but it was perfect for us as that's exactly what we wanted for two nights before moving to a downtown location :)
