Yes it’s a little way out of Ella but this means it’s much quieter than the hectic town centre. Plus the owner has a Tuk Tuk and will drop you off / pick you up whenever necessary for a fair price. Breakfast is served on your balcony including egg hoppers, coconut pancakes, fruit salad and freshly squeezed juice. Tea and coffee facilities are provided in the room. Best Homestay we had in Sri Lanka! Tuktuk and Shuttle service through the owner, fair price! Better then the other suppliers, never forget to negation. Location is 3 walkingminutes away of the main village, we loved it! Perfect location to start directly without transport to nine arches bridge, little adams peak, ella rock! Laundry Service is nice (maybe not the cheapest one) We loved the breakfast and the Host Family! Was no problem to arrive late because of train delay. Minibar prices are super fair (cheap) also with Lion beer

Arawe is a newly renovated 150-year old nature cottage located around 400m from the centre of Ella. The Arawe Retreat is a magical place where you can relax in the midst of the forest. The villa is spacious and the staff are the nicest people! Also the food provided was amazing.

Featuring a garden and free WiFi, Arana Sri Lanka Eco Lodge and Yoga Center is situated in Ella, 3 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. Had and amazing stay! Just 2 nights but could have been a week. Just enough outside of downtown (a short walk or tuk tuk ride) to be peaceful and quiet but close enough to pop in for a meal, drink or a little bit of night life. The breakfast was perfect (great French press coffee) and my wife was able to take a yoga class each morning which she loved (she is a yoga teacher here in the US). The shower water pressure was great with plenty of hot water. The balcony off of the room was amazing with monkeys paying a visit in the morning. We slept well and didn't even use the fan provided. Will 100% be back to stay again. Thanks!

It is built into the side of the mountain valley by the owner, Chandana, who has crafted everything himself. It's absolutely beautiful! I could have sat relaxing on the balcony for days looking out over the view. Incredible value for money. The room is a decent size with really lovely art features. It is equipped with a Mosquito net, fridge, variety of lighting, and a large window looking out onto the view. The bed is very comfy. The bathroom is quite large with a straightforward hot shower. The property has a generator, so power cuts are not an issue. Acknowledging other reviews about proximity to the road - I am an extremely light sleeper and was able to sleep very peacefully. The road is really quiet at night. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful, even in this time of crisis. For us, the location was ideal. It's a few minutes tuk tuk from central town and Chandana will take you there himself on his own tuk tuk. He even picked us up every night at a moment's notice. Chandana is so smiley...he and his property lit up our stay!

The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, going out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. It is a stunning location, situated in the forest, with amazing views of Ella Rock and the surrounding area. The room was large and comfortable, with stunning views to wake up to. The free breakfast was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Thank you Amila and family - we had the best time and will definitely come back. Thank you for your hospitality and generosity!

Three things are outstanding about this accommodation: The accommodation itself, the host, and the location. The rooms are bright and newly furnished. My bed was very comfortable and I had everything I needed (from a hairdryer to a flashlight, everything was there). The terrace is outstanding. You can watch the birds from there. The location is very quiet yet central. The train station is just a few meters away. I enjoyed not being in the middle of the hustle and bustle and being in the center within a 5-minute walk. Last but not least - Angelo is an incredibly attentive host. He was always reachable and took care of all concerns (from 'a kettle would be great' to researching where I could get the best massage in Ella). Thank you, Angelo, it was a fantastic stay!

Stuff amazing, they offering free pick up and drop off for check in and check out. Owners will do everything for you to make your holidays easy and smooth! We asked for tuk tuk for round trip, they found best price for us, we asked about taxi to Yala - they found the best price for us. Anything we need they helped with! And you are in the middle of forest, no rush, just trees, monkeys and few other animals. Really nice stay we enjoyed and would recommend to everybody. Thank you again for everything you did for us.
