Quail Rest is located on Totara Peak Station which is a working High Country Station situated on the shores of Lake Benmore 22kms from Twizel township. Free WiFi and private parking is included. Everything, though about 10 minutes off the beaten path it didn’t matter once you got there. On the front porch you looked right at Mount Cook. The house itself was immaculate and the appointments were top notch. If you are staying for a few days do not miss this one.

Easy to access. Hosts readily accommodated our late check-in. Great location, walk to Lake Tekapo and to the little village for stores and restaurants. Fantastic stainless steel hot tub. Would highly recommend.

Situated in Twizel in the Canterbury region, GH Twizel Holiday Cottage has a garden. There is a picnic area and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Excellent location to venture out to Aoraki / Mount Cook national park. The house itself was fantastic: the bed was the most comfortable one we’ve had during our entire vacation, everything was spotlessly clean, the bath amenities were fantastic (especially the conditioner) and it had a nice personal touch from the host. The host was very friendly and so nice, it was such a lovely and positive interaction and made us feel right at home. We wish we had stayed longer. Tip: go outside at night, the sky is full of stars!

Very clean and well appointed. Comfortable bed. The city of Twizel lost water due to a broken water main while we were there but we were kept aware of the progress made on the repairs.
