Volcano Eco Cabin Retreat is a chalet situated in Volcano, 16 km from Kilauea and 9.6 km from Volcano National Park's entrance. The lodge was cute. Great for relaxing getaway. We really appreciated the attention to detail for making staying there comfortable and easy. Checkin was particularly easy.

Beautiful location with helpful staff. They accommodated us despite a last minute booking need. The grounds were gorgeous and very well maintained. The pool was exceptional and great for kids. Boasting a shared lounge, Waipi'o Lodge is situated in Kukuihaele in the Hawaii Island region, 36 km from Waimea Park. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. The accomodation is almost at the end of the road that takes to the Waipio Valley lookout. It's very quiet and has a very nice garden. The room was clean and comfy, same for the bathroom. Our host gave us a very appreciated welcome and some useful information for dinner and about the Waipio Valley. Great value for money.

Located at the base of Mauna Kea Volcano, this upcountry Waimea lodge offers cable TV with work desk and fans (available upon request) . Hapuna Beach is 15 minutes’ drive away. Awful awful place. Do not stay here. If you do... Well, I might have a harder time getting a room and/or paying more. So, yeah, definitely do not stay here. 😉

Located 2 miles from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, this Volcano hotel offers a Lava Tube Tour and an outdoor hot tub. Absolutely amazing. The rooms were brilliant and I cannot recommend the lava tube enough! It was the highlight of my whole trip to the Big Island!
