Zur Alten Mine is situated 5 km outside of Graskop. Guests can walk around the dam in the gardens or hike up to the old mine. The property exceeded our expectations by far. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the little cabins are very well maintained and inviting. We wish we could have stayed longer.

The tents are incredible - very big and so luxurious inside. Even better than the photos. Whoever did the interior design has a great eye and really paid attention to the details. It also works well as a living space; both of us could stretch out in the living room and read our books, which is a rarity. Needless to say, the surrounding area is incredibly beautiful. We slept like babies with the sound of the stream right outside our tent, and appreciated the turn down service to make everything a bit cozier. We genuinely thought we were the only guests, but learned later that they were full up (and saw the other guests at breakfast). This speaks volumes about how private and secluded the tents feel. Zuannette and Arman, the couple running the retreat, really made our stay an 11/10. Zuannette was so helpful and accommodating even before we reached the property; she helped us organize a Valentine’s scarp drive and picnic on very short notice. We also enjoyed several of Arman’s meals (he is a talented chef and runs the restaurant). They are friendly and genuine but also run the place very professionally, which is not an easy balance to strike. I would definitely recommend an evening scarp drive and picnic, it was not just beautiful but also interesting to learn about the history of the place. Also impressed with the delicious spring water! I could go on but please go and see it for yourself, you won’t regret it!

Situated in eMbalenhle, Emba Guest lodge No loadshedding is a recently renovated accommodation, 17 km from Kinross Golf Club and 42 km from Kriel Golf Club. The guesthouse is safe, clean, has back up power, and the interior decor is modern and stunning. I also loved that the hosts were welcoming, polite, and always helpful.

Located 13 km from Skukuza Indigenous Plants Nursery, Rixile Kruger Lodge offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. This was arguably the best place I’ve been to in KNP. It was luxury at its peak.

Located in Skukuza, Umkumbe Safari Lodge Riverside provides accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with an outdoor swimming pool. we loved everything about Umkumbe safari lodge. the staff were incredibly nice and anticipated every need. the views from the property were amazing. we saw a troop of baboons and a herd of elephants. then the safaris! our guide Shannon was so awesome! she found so many animals and had a wealth of information about every animal. it was unforgettable!!!

With mountain views, The Zarafa is situated in Hazyview and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. Very nice villas with private pool and great view! We even met 2 girafs and other animals around the villas. The food is delicious and we had the chance to experience meat from the springbok, kudu and crocodile. Everything was very well organized for us by the owner of the Zarafa incl. activities (big 5 safari, panorama tour) and airport transfers.
