A weekend stay in Macclesfield at Longview Vineyard was a relaxing experience. We really found it a lovely place to unwind & a Fabulous setting. Seniors need to be aware that it is a hilly spot with a lot of steps & not suitable for those with mobility issues in my opinion. Dining at Three Brothers Arms was a Rustic & Hearty & thoroughly enjoyable experience. Ask to see the Indoor Well. Oldest Pub in the Adelaide Hills!

Only 50 minutes from the airport driving through beautiful countryside you arrive in this lovely quiet location surrounded by 120 acres of vines! The host is warm and friendly and up for a chat and the room in large and modern with a deck to have a wine or two. Although 15 minutes from Handorf and probably 10 to Mt Barker (for steam train enthusiasts) so still close enough to get into the tourist spots. The little town of Macclesfield has old fashioned buildings with 2 beautiful old pubs with open fires for winter. We didn't realise there was a lake nearby so we'll visit that next time.
