The owners are very, very kind and warm people. I'd return only because of them.
The place was very clean and tidy with a view to their wonderful garden. During the night you can hear the sounds of nature and watch the stars.
Even though it is situated next to a busy road, we had a really good sleep (I am light sleeper). The rooms do not have a window to the road, just the garden.
There is a bus stop nearby so you can go to Veliko Turnovo without a car for a 10 minute trip or call a taxi. It is not expensive. Ask the owners for the timetable, if you want to use the bus.
Park Hotel Asenevtsi is located in Veliko Tŭrnovo, 800 metres from Velchova Zavera square. It offers a seasonal outdoor pool, a children's playground and a restaurant with summer garden.

The hotel was very responsive to question prior and post arrival, the staff all seemed to have excellent knowledge of English which is a first for us after visiting many hotels within Bulgaria. The staff were friendly and very quick to assist us with any of our requirements.
The view was nice and the rooms were spotlessly clean, I'd say it's the cleanest hotel we've stayed in and we were informed by the manager that's one of the reasons for a later booking in time so the rooms can be cleaned to a very high standard.
The spa area was also very clean and we enjoyed our time relaxing there, the steam room was the best we've used in Bulgaria during our many hotel visits.
The walk to Veliko Tarnovo old town is possible from the hotel which is great for those staying for longer periods.
The evening food was also very enjoyable and the breakfast was also the best we've encountered in Bulgaria.
We will definitely be returning in the near future and hopefully for a longer period after our successful test visit.

Does what it says on the tin. Good room, with basic shower facilities & even a small balcony.
Staff were friendly and the main street & fort were not too far - 20 mins walk.
Corner shop right outside which was useful for snacks!
We had to pay at property but they had both cash and card facilities which was useful as we didn't carry much cash around.
