What a delightful find. We were looking for a base to explore the Erzgebirge and Goldener Stern in Frauenstein was an excellent choice. The host/owner was extraordinary with information about Gottlieb Silbermann (I did not know he was born in Frauenstein), the breakfast was exceptional with homemade pates, dinner was even better with local specialities, and the room was more than comfortable with special, unexpected amenities. We couldn't have been more satisfied.

Good breakfast, good dinner and good lunch. Swimming pool ok, but it was limited on usage. We got exactly the room which is in the advertised picture ( room nr. 31 ).
