The amazing view makes you speechless. The pictures cannot reflect enough how wonderful the cliffs of Los Gigantes are from the terrace. The apartment is really nice, well equipped, and tidy. The area is so quiet that your rest is 100% guaranteed. Perfect location. Everything is close by, harbor, restaurants, and bars, but also situated on a dead-end road at the edge of the village, so with almost no traffic. The pool area is comfy and never crowded. The water in the pool is a bit cold, tough (in September). The host was very friendly and welcoming. Jorge showed us everything at the check-in.
Offering a terrace and sea view, Unique Buenavista is situated in Santiago del Teide, 1.9 km from Playa de Santiago and 1.9 km from Puerto Santiago Beach.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in, and certainly the best in Tenerife. We had a very comfortable room in a quiet part of the hotel, as I had requested, with a stunning view of Los Gigantes. The service was fantastic, we received a welcome gift, which was very nice. The swimming pool area was also very nice, with a view, and even though the hotel was probably fully booked, it didn't feel crowded. Everywhere is clean. The meals are also tasty, a big plus is the freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast. I highly recommend staying at this hotel, we had a very nice time there.

Prior to booking, I read almost all reviews here at Booking.com and elsewhere (Tripadvisor). I wanted to get a good value for my money. I did get it. What most reviews say, is true: the place seems to be well managed (cleaning every day, etc.), things work there, it is a family oriented place (lots of children), breathtaking views, yes, lots of stairs, but there are elevators there too, so do not worry. Good variety of food. Yes, it is large, many people everywhere, but that is to be expected in a big resort such as this one (you can always come to the dining room early or late to avoid crowds). Pools are heated just fine, there are times when they are pretty much empty. Yes, the parking lot (8 euro/day extra) has some narrow spaces, but we always found a spot even if we came late in the evening. Having read reviews in advance, I knew about it, so I booked a smaller car (VW Polo) and it was just fine. I think the guys read reviews and try to improve things. For instance, some older reviews said that the wifi is not good or that one has to log in (type in data) every time when a browser is opened. I did not experience that and the connection was good (watched some Netflix movies on my mobile phone). Overeall, I would come back again.

Very nice variety of breakfast, with homemade juice. They use their own fresh produce from the farm. We had fresh eggs and bananas. They offer dinner, too.
The room was nice and clean, with a large terrace. Good size of pool at the property.
Great place to relax. We enjoyed our stay here.
Beautiful hotel
Great breakfast
Lovely balcony
Very quiet, felt like it was closed. No atmosphere
No nice bar to sit and relax
Tired room. Very quiet sterile restaurant with limited choice for vegetarians.

I was staying in Santiago Del Teide as part of a hiking group.
Santiago del Teide, is an ideal location for hiking, with easy access to Masca, and the Teide National Park. It is a lovely place to socialise after a walk, with great places to eat.

Santiago delTeide is a great place to stay especially if you like walking. There are lots of marked trails in Teide National Park for all walkers but you need to rent a car for the best way to travel as the buses can be very scarce some days and are not always reliable. There are lots of very good restaurants including a couple of excellent Italian ones. Los Gigantes where we stayed is quieter than the main area of Puerto de Santiago which we liked. A shout out to Mamma Lucia’s Italian restaurant it was fantastic. Overall a nice area nice friendly people and a place we will return to very soon.

(not reviewing Santiago del Teide but Los Gigantes that "belong" to it ...)
I chose it to have a place to explore SW part of Tenerife, with a view on Los Gigantes.
I had a great view of Los Gigantes cliffs, Masca is relatively close but getting "almost anywhere" from Los Gigantes entails climbing winding serpentines ... so trip to Masca, El Teide, Puerto de la Cruz ... always took a while.
For beaches and swimming ... not really many beaches, ended up commuting to Playa de la Arena which is nice but usually with waves (yellow to red flag ...) so not necessarily for everyone and definitely for "extended (longer distance) swimming" as the area restricted by buoys is relatively small (and swimming outside really is not safe and approved by the lifeguard on duty ...)
(so next time I will probably again stick to areas closer to Puerto de la Cruz or Santa Cruz that are "on the highway" and are better starting points for trips and have better beaches I guess)

It is absolutely fabulous! We stayed at Los Gigantes.
It is absolutely fabulous! We stayed at Los Gigantes. It is quiet, but bars and restaurants are just around every corner, just like live music and the supermarket. And of course you can buy souvenirs and clothes. Lot's of whale watching tours on offer at the agencies. Also nice, use of swimming pool offered against reasonable price in the village, just a short walk, for if the sea is to cold or rough for your liking. If you want to go out of the town, but not want a long drive, there is also a very nice beach with great rock formations at Playa la Arena (here the sea was less rough, and there are more restaurants to choose from, but I liked the atmosphere of Los Gigantes better) just a 20 minutes walk. Or take the bus, it's very cheap! We had one disappointment, there is no hiking trail going into the mountains from here. Google maps said so, but it is closed and from the looks of it, it is now covered in rocks.

Super property, beautifully appointed in the small town of Santiago del Teide. We came down from Masca and went into this charming hotel for the night. We went out for dinner but had their lovely breakfast buffet that had everything you would want to eat, fresh and beautifully arranged. Truly a lovely lovely place and great value with large rooms with couch and beds, entire toiletries kits and all focused on recyclables, low resource consumption and thoughtfully resourced food. If all hotels did this we might have more years to enjoy them!
this is a real gem, the location is amazing and so close to Masca Valley (a must see). the hotel grounds are amazing, with a real rustic charm. the antique farming equipment is very interesting. the rooms are wonderful, we stayed on the first floor and had the most wonderful ceiling in our room. the facilities are brilliant and the bathrooms are the best I’ve seen on the island! the food was exceptional, we had the most amazing fish paella!
Beautiful place with traditional houses and nice garden. There was a kitchen and dining room available, as well as a reading room and some terraces. All the facilities are cleaned everyday. The beds were comfortable and the heating allowed for the place to warm up quickly even though it was pretty chill outside. The bathroom was okay with all the facilities available. Location is in the middle of the small town of Santiago del Teide.
Clean, well presented accommodation, with a well equipped kitchen and a beautiful garden area. Would not hesitate to book again while staying in the lovely town of Santiago del Teide.
There’s a wonderful trail for walking/running only a few minutes from the door. The main road has everything you need as far as restaurants, pharmacy, and mini markets too.
I loved staying at Casa Fina! The antique aesthetic with a few modern touches was a nice switch up from any other hotel I've ever stayed at. I liked that Casa Fina had a shared living room area and a fully stocked kitchen. The garden on the property was a very cute place to enjoy my tea.
The man working in the hotel was very kind and tried to be as helpful as possible. The place was clean and there were apples prepared for us in the room which we appreciated after finishing the Santiago del Teide trail. The room was clean and quite nice (despite the size).
The room was beautiful! Felt like hotel , really comfortable. The jacuzzi was really fun and was totally worth the price ( that wasn't so expensive to what we got). Amazing view from the flat. Many hiking places and restaurants really close by.
It was a pleasant stay, the accommodation was nice, and the apartment was nicely renovated. It had its charm, something you cannot get in a modern hotel. The kitchen was well equipped.
The hotel is very charming, the location is perfect when you’re going from places to places (especially to visit Masca). The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good.
If you're looking for a good place to start a climb on Teide, this is the spot. Very cute little hotel with everything you could ever need located about 1k elevation.
Nice service and staff, beautiful nature around and very clean hotel with all facilities needed. The restaurant food was amazing, totally worth the money.
