The adult pool was nice but small and too few lounges around it. The beach and bar around on the point was one of the quieter areas to get some peace and quiet.

A very beautiful resort. Each 'villa' was stunning and located on the beach with own (large) swimming pool. Everything was clean and well set up - full kitchen and supplies provided (bread and condiments, fruit, pastries, milk) upon arrival (and there is a 'deli' on the island if you require anything else). Two restaurants and room service available. The staff were exceptional - nothing was too much trouble.

The rooms were lovely, spacious, clean and close and easy access to the water. The grounds were immaculate. Lots to do for children. Children’s club was excellent. Pools were lovey. The activities, snorkelling, kayaking, great and the staff were really helpful. Love the way staff interacted with the children and look after them. Very special care.

The island location is great.
Shout out to staff but Stanley was amazing and made us feel looked after and took so much care with his interactions. Can’t rave enough about him.
My room was good. Not everything was perfect but I never expected it to, just wanted a beautiful place, not ridiculously expense, but comfortable enough to make you just relax, and it did that in spades.

I'm glad I booked a room with aircon and a hot shower. The food provided was very good, although on a 3-day revolving, fixed menu. It rained hard at night and the kitchen staff wrapped and delivered my dinner to my room saving me from getting drenched. The pool was small but clean and refreshing.

Next to the beach where you can do snorkelling due to the coral close to it. Nice relax area outside with hammocks and roof. Excellent staff, really friendly.

Good location on a beautiful beach! Paradise really, if you don’t mind the bare bones minimum and not having the best access to good food.

This gorgeous little resort is located on the most beautiful, pristine lagoon. We were snorkeling and swanning around in the crystal clear water for hours every day, with hardly any other guests around. It was magical. I have high expectations of beaches, this one was perfect!
The Beachfront Bures (Sunset side) are in close walking distance to the main facilities. They are exceptionally clean and comfortable. We had the best sleeps/afternoon naps in perfect beds. We were Mum and 2 adult daughters so had an extra bed made up. There was plenty of room for 3 females and luggage.
The staff were fantastic, particularly the restaurant team and musicians! On our last night we were also treated to an amazing fire show. The performers all worked at the resort and they were so invested in putting on a mind-blowing show. They were incredible.
The food was local and fresh. The menu isn’t extensive but over four nights we were super content with our tasty meals (good portion sizes too). I ate delicious fish every day which is my kind of holiday. Getting serenaded with live music every night was also very special.
The enthusiasm, humour and commitment of the team to give us an extraordinary holiday was so deeply appreciated. We loved them.
We were initially going to select another resort, I’m elated we chose Matamanoa Island Resort. We will be back!
To all the team - vinaka vakalevu!

Accommodation and food were excellent, and the staff so friendly and accommodating. Overall, it is a lovely place to spend a few days. Special mention to the Chef for the Seafood Chowder and Tenderloin Steak which were absolutely world-class quality. Would definitely choose the suites with outdoor showers and plunge pool over the oceanfront rooms.

For a honeymoon destination is the best resort ever. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave you are tokorikis main priority. The experiences are out of this world. the weather is absolutely beautiful. The properties room are also stunning and designed beautifully Fijian style.

Having two beaches is a winner and it’s just a short stroll between both. One for relaxing and sipping cocktails or a drink in the water, kayaking, swimming and snorkeling (though the north beach is way better). Beautiful, easy walks. Staff were wonderful. Buildings are tired, but still fine. Bed was comfortable, water pressure good and there was a safe in the room.
The food is very basic and the menu doesn’t change (travel was out of peak season). As a vegetarian it was incredibly limiting and stodgy, my tip is to ask for tofu to be substituted for meat in dishes such as stir fries and nasi goreng.
Everything is about 50% more expensive on the island, so if you want treats and alcohol, take them with you! I’d go back.

Having an all inclusive deal with meals was great, you could...
Having an all inclusive deal with meals was great, you could also choose meals at 3 other restaurants(1 has a surcharge), there is a south beach and a north beach, snorkeling is great, friendly staff, great activities set for the week catering for everyone, there is an adults only pool & swim up bar in the main pool a negative was the dated furnishings in the bures and around the resort, things are looking very tired, in the little shop they need to stock things like sunscreen, aloe vera gel & wide brimmed hats things I would say are a necessity on a tropical island & the process at reception to settle peoples bills isn't a smooth process, very frustrating when the cat is waiting at the wharf to depart

On our honeymoon we stayed in room 205 which was a beach front Bure. It did not seem real when we walked in. The view from the bed looking out the door was priceless extremely beautiful looking out onto the ocean, with several other island in view. You walk out the back door on to your own private balcony with fold out chairs to lay back on, walk down a five step stair case, onto the beach, and straight out in the water for snorkelling. We just could not believe that we paid under 3000 for unlimited food from 3 different amazing restaurants 3-5 course meals, buffet’s, the whole package. We believe the perfection of the room made the trip, we can’t vouch for any other rooms though (request room 205, trust me). 5 nights were plenty! I think 4 nights would be more than ideal. We slept probably about 10 hours at night and 3 hours during the day because we were so relaxed, especially after planning a big wedding while both work fulltime jobs. Never been so relaxed in our lives. (Photo is on balcony, just outside bedroom door, you can see this view when you are laying on your bed)
· The privacy in our room, we realised toward the end of the holiday that you could see in to the bedroom through the thin blinds at night as they were a thin material without any way of covering it up! Need to be fixed ASAP. Alcohol is extremely expensive, $22 for a glass of apple cider! Over $10 for beers cocktails 20 or so dollars. 6 dollars for soft drink. We aren’t big drinkers of alcohol or soft drink so it didn’t both us! Although we did get a complementary bottle of wine on arrival, flowers on the bed and love hearts everywhere.

A beautiful place but a pity that there is so much rubbish left around. Lots of plastic bottles etc washed up on beach’s . Not sure if it’s lack of education but not a good look with piles of partially burnt rubbish in front of homes, rubbish in amongst the trees. This for me ruins what would other wise be a stunning location. The main island of Fiji is of course even worse with polluted waterways.some friends won’t return due to the rubbish and pollution. Unsure if I will.

The staff that took care of us are the most amazing...
The staff that took care of us are the most amazing hospitality team we have ever met. Very welcoming, always had a smile and nothing seemed impossible with this amazing people. Everything about this stay was simply perfect. They certainly need to be acknowledged and looked after by the business. We will definitely go back!
We liked everything about this place, we stayed two nights, we were there for the island experience which we got.
We enjoyed all our meals, breakfast was very basic.
Our room was a Beachside bungalow which was by lovely and spacious.
The power went off every day between 2 and 5, we were pre warned about this and it didn’t make any difference to us.
The transfers were very efficient.
We paid $195 each for the transfers, they picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off at our next place.
Everything about this property was amazing. The buffet was plentiful and had a lot to choose from. The location of this resort is perfect, you can swim in clean turquoise waters steps away from your bungalow with beautiful sandy white beach. Our trip was cut short unfortunately due to cyclone Mal so we didn’t get to enjoy everything the resort had to offer. Will have to go back!
Apart from the property, the wonderful staff and included excursions such as the two of us on the resort’s separate private island, snorkelling off a sandbar and foraging for sea grapes to be transformed by one of Fiji’s top chefs at dinner made this a first rate experience.
The resort was beautiful. We stayed in one of the ocean front bures. We stayed in early March so the resort was pretty empty but I'm sure there is a lot going on during their busy season. The staff was friendly and helpful. Leitia and Nino were awesome.
Small resort with only 5 villas that felt very private and relaxed. extremely friendly staff, great activities included such as island picnic, snorkelling and sunset cruise. Location is right on the beach and comfortable room and loungers.
First time to Mana Island Resort and Spa, we are Survivor TV show fans and wanted to experience where they film the show. The resort was wonderful, great food loving facilities and ample space to explore and see where Survivor is filmed.
property is outdated and somewhat challenging to navigate the full resort. we had to rely on a driver and golf cart to get us back and forth to our rooms and they always took forever. minimum 30 minute wait.
Total rip off. Booking.com should be held responsible for our struggle at this hotel. 9pm we had to leave the hotel and su $900 to move to mana resort . Booking.com is liars .
