Good room “teas made”, spacious bedroom, comfortable bed, ability to open the windows, big towels. Chandeliers!
Lovely long and very well stocked bar, flags of nations very nice touch. Location excellent, only a £5 taxi ride from the station on a Sunday and Saturn taxis quick to come. Only a five minute walk from Wetherspoons but other pubs close, friendly night club Blake’s three minutes away.
A 10-minute drive from Gravesend, The Darnley Arms offers comfortable rooms alongside a bar and restaurant. This north Kent inn provides free on-site parking and Wi-Fi.

Bar and restaurant are reasonable price and food is good. Plenty of parking and reasonable bus service to dartford and to train station.
Gravesend has deteriorated over the years. It is not worth visiting. The restaurants are few and far. I can recommend a superb local pub named the Compass: great beer and great company. Gravesend is not worth visiting (unfortunately). The last time I was there wad 1982 and it was a thriving market town but now …

Gravesend is a typical declining British town.
Gravesend is a typical declining British town. The high Street is poor, there are 2 shopping centres that you can go round in literally 5 minutes. If it wasn't for the fact that we have family connections there, we wouldn't bother with the place.

Very nice small town with a beautiful promanade next to the river. Nice view on the river with the green area and benches that you can sit on them and relax. For short visit/weekend it's absloutely fine. For longer can be boring.

A great location, the reception lady was good, the lunch option was poor, and the area was cold but the lady on reception brought a heater which was very good.
Have evening meal but there was a lady with a dog that continuously barking . We left and went to our room. Tv could be bigger very small.
ROOM 11 (13/7/22)
JELENA , the receptionist was awesome, very helpful.
the hotel is very clean and tidy ,the bedroom was a good size , comfy bed and spotless.
Bathroom was clean and everything worked.
I met the cleaner who had done a great job ( South African lady ) well done..
I was chatting to a chap who works there and he gave me a lot of tips about the area .
Breakfast was plentiful, hot and tasty .
10/10 to all the staff I encountered.
I WILL BE BACK , AS WILL MY COLLEAGUES.
Thank you for a great stay .
The rooms are perfect for what we needed from the stay; good size, comfortable bed, work desk, and air-conditioned. An on-site restaurant is available and plenty of parking, so there are no issues there, and there is a Co-op convenience store within a two-minute walk. Well positioned hotel for access to the M25 and the Kent countryside, with only a short drive to the Dartford Crossing if you need to be north of the river.
Everything about the room was great, the price was fantastic and I had a look at the breakfast room and wished I could stay for breakfast! Really friendly and near to some interesting pubs and venues. Frequent buses to the town centre but it's a pleasant walk in a straight line, took me 20 minutes at a leisurely pace.
Very friendly, approachable and helpful staff. Comfortable, good-sized room and bed. Room and shower room/toilet facilities all worked and were clean. Ideally positioned for the holiday aims we had. We were walking the Thames Path / English Coastal Path and recommend the Hotel to others doing the same.
The lakes and relaxation and the 1st time we stayed for entertainment which was the Motown tribute which was excellent 😁and all good staff and service, we have been several times for our birthdays every yr plus other occasions and have already booked my partners birthday for September
This looks like a very new conversion. Certainly very smart. The beds were comfy. It was very clean and tidy with all the facilities for a self catering stay. Walking distance from town. The shower had decent pressure and plenty of hot water. Nice sized lounge area.
Good location, within walking distance of a number of pubs/town centre. The wife left her necklace in the room when we checked out, and they contacted us about it. We arranged postage, sent them the postage label and they returned the necklace - great service.
The proximity to the international railway station is very convenient for travelling to central London.
The restaurant belonging to the hotel offers inexpensive breakfast in a pleasant atmosphere (even though the buffet often ran out of offerings).
Not to far from London 1:30 min, rooms renewed new bathrooms, carpets... The Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Parking is free and seems safe. It was my second stay at the hotel big improvement within one year in modernizing the hotel
Very clean ,room was small but served it's purpose,,bar/restaurant area is nice but not used other than for breakfast which was a shame ,,the bar wasn't staffed pity I would have used it ,, otherwise great value for money hotel
Phantastic place for visiting Kent. Debbie is a brilliant host and very funny. Thanks for everything, especially all the little extras. Hopewell felt like home and is definitely worth a visit. I enjoyed my stay very much.
Great place to stay we were visiting brands hatch
Bar area and dinning room so clean rooms very nice plenty of room staff were very friendly definitely recommend this hotel
The bar area could do with an upgrade and a bigger dining room would be welcome with table service the bar area could also be modern and not so much like a town hall vibe
