What a stunning idealic location, I was very lucky to have glorious weather! Greeted by very friendly staff, I was made to feel very welcome in fact I felt spoilt! The food was proper homemade food!! I think the best Steak Pie I've ever had. My room was very cute and comfortable, as a lone female I felt very safe. They changed the breakfast times to adapt my needs! I even came back for lunch with a friend!

Little John Hotel, hotel in Hucklow

In the centre of Hathersage, The Little John Hotel provides bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation in Derbyshire’s Peak District.

We were upgraded into a little cottage at the back of the pub. It also had a little stream running at the back of the cottage which was lovely. we had a full breakfast and there were plenty you could also have a choice of cereal and yoghurt. Orange juice, tea and coffee. For dinner I had pie of the day mash and mushy peas which was nice they also have a pizza menu and there is a Chinese menu in the pub as well which my partner had and said it was nice.

What a fabulous find! Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly team at the Bike & Boot. We came as a small group (plus a dog!) for a walk in the Peaks and an overnight stay to celebrate a big birthday. The team couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable. A big shout out to Katie in the Bareca restaurant on Friday night for making us feel special:) Lovely, modern brand new rooms with everything you need. Even the dog got his own bed and a toy! Amazing service

Foolow, where we stayed, is a lovely little village and is very handy for places like Chatsworth. The surrounding views are stunning. The place that we stayed at foe 2 nights, The Bulls Head Inn, managed by Jonathan and his mother was perfect for this. The food as excellent and the staff were ever so friendly, with nothing too much trouble. The inn only has 3 rooms, all en-suite, and is comfortable. The car park is to the side and there is ample space. The restaurant was full on both nights we were there and the specials board was changed on the second night. A good selection of local ales as well! The only two downsides, if any, were that the bed was too bouncy and the internet was weak/intermittent, but I would still stay there again. Would definitely stay there again.
