We were later than our scheduled arrival due to motorway closures, when we arrived our room key was all ready for us and given to us by a very helpful member of your staff. The staff in the restaurant overseeing the breakfasts were very polite and courteous.

If I could give Cody and Ben extra stars for effort and likability I would. Everything from confirming once booking was made, reception on arrival, and sendoff was flawless. We were super impressed with how much heart, sweat and time this young couple have put into running both the inn and attached pub. Everywhere we saw touches of extra TLC. Charming country garden, Upgraded sparkling rainfall shower head, beautiful wood pieces. (The soaking tub deserves its own award) They also went out of their way to accommodate us by rearranging into 3 twin beds. The drinks available on arrival were absolutely appreciated by thirsty travelers. With service like this I don’t expect them to have any openings. If you see one, don’t hesitate! Book right away! Very best of luck to Cody for the 48 Hr walkathon. We can’t wait to see what’s new improvements you guys do next time we visit.
Well where do I start?! Nice things! The front and only garden was OK, There was this really lovely member of staff she was the only person there for you at breakfast! and she was so helpful but she was pretty mad at bosses and I DO NOT blame her she was used like a doormat, she had to endure the embarrassing condition of the GLASSROOM RESTAURANT, It was absolutely Filthy the spider webs had cobwebs hanging from them, the roof blinds were broken and tattered, I have never encountered such filth in an eating are and that poor woman was distressed and embarrassed at the condition of the place. She was the only good thing about our stay.

We lived in Royal Wootton Bassett many years ago so we know the town and the surrounding area well.
It is a very picturesque town with plenty of pubs and places to eat. It is well located for visiting other places in the area e.g. Swindon, Marlborough, Malmsbury.

Nothing much to like except the bed was quite comfy .
Nothing much to like except the bed was quite comfy . It is in the process of being taken over by another company which is why they are in a bit of a mess and so disorganised . The staff are not happy which reflects on the guests so until they get their act together and employ more staff I would not recommend anyone to stay there as the tariffs they charge are ridiculous and do not reflect the kind of service given.

The only snag I encountered was lack of parking at the Angel. There were usually spaces outside or near but 2 hours maximum. However, if you park after 4pm you can stay until 10am the next morning, but otherwise there is a supermarket behind the property which is reasonable during the day.

The state of the carpets in the entrance and the common...
The state of the carpets in the entrance and the common areas let the place down as this is the first thing you see.the leisure area including the sauna jacuzzi etc wasn't open and that's one of the main reasons for booking the Wiltshire and I was disappointed as I had cancelled another hotel for the Wiltshire. If these 2 problems are fixed I would recommend it . Apart from that we enjoyed our stay the scenery is lovely cannot fault

On the photos it looks like a great hotel and I’m sure that for golfers it meets their needs.
The outdoor areas were fun down and shabby, the wooden chairs and fables flaky and uncomfortable, some still had that mornings glasses and bottles on it.
Indoors is nothing special at all and comes across as below average with some staff not understanding my requests due to their lack of English.
Food choices in the restaurant were poor and not a single gluten free meal could be provided for me from that menu.
We ate out.
The rooms were hot without aircon , dirty carpets throughout and breakfast was unpleasant.
The fried eggs in their chaffing dish were dried out on top, the bacon had to be eaten with fingers it was that tough.
Scrambled eggs were oozing watery fluid and there was no fruit.
Well I’m glad I only stayed one night ..this review could carry on much further if I wanted to.

Large clean room with great facilities in an excellent peaceful location (better as a car driver as no shops or venues very near, though there is a regular bus service into Royal Wootton Bassett)
Lovely restaurant/bar with good food and catered to my gluten-free needs. Staff were all amazing, helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Special mention to Anna my housekeeper who looked after me so well, a lovely ray of sunshine to my days! Thank you all.
I had tried to pre book dinner for 14 by pre ordering a menu selection and this was not responded to helpfully. Indeed when we arrived and sought to make a dinner reservation we were told the dining room was fully booked. We were unimpressed having tried to plan ahead. The saving grace was the restaurant manager did all he could to ensure we had a nice meal elsewhere in Royal Wootton Bassett. He was exceptional!
An excellent, clearly quite new hotel which provided very comfortable overnight accommodation. The facilities were excellent and spotlessly clean. A very friendly pub was located on site and I enjoyed a very tasty and value for money dinner there. The Receptionist in the hotel was both very pleasant and helpful in that she booked a table for me at the pub for my evening meal.
I stayed for one night, for a friend's wedding; I was a solo traveller. The service I received was lovely; my room (24) was lovely too. Very modern, and very clean. The room had air con, which I always appreciate and the bed was comfy. The pub next door was nice as well; my experience of the staff was friendly and professional. I would stay over again.
Super professional host and staff, meaning everything is high quality (importantly for me: bed, linen and bathroom) and well organised and presented. Great atmosphere, good WiFi, TV, heating and lighting. Excellent breakfast, and lunch/dinner menu, thriving bar, all making this the perfect combination of pub, restaurant and hotel.
This was our second stay at The Churchill as it is ideally sited for us when visiting family. The WiFi was unavailable when we were there which was a pity. The receptionist was very good and overall we had a very good three-night stay and will no doubt use the hotel again.
I purposely made a detour to stay at this hotel again whilst on business.
As a female solo traveller, there are places where you do not feel secure, but here I do.
The staff are wonderful, rooms are clean and comfortable and the food, well what can I say just delicious
Location and value for money. Extremely friendly staff beautiful Clean rooms. Tasty food especially the breakfast which unlike hotel buffets was cooked fresh. I'll definitely be staying here often
It was clean and they have nice, hot water in the shower (not always the case in other hotels..). Cannot say anything about food or wi-fi, as I virtually only slept there.
Everything was fine. I stayed here because it was the cheapest hotel closest to my office and it was as expected. Good value compared to other, more expensive hotels
The Hotel is well situated off the M4. My room was tidy and had all the facilities. Conference room was good and the refreshments were good at breaktimes.
