The location is superb, with the most gorgeous views. Parking is generous and there is an unloading area by the front door.
Reception was efficiently friendly.
The large room, which looked out onto woodland from both windows, was beautifully quiet and restful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and the water hot.
Dinner in the bar was very good (I had a salad) and the atmosphere convivial.

I liked leaving the place as soon as i could in the morning. I was first welcomed to the room by an incessant fire alarm at about 3.30 which lasted on and off for 30 minutes.
