The hotel has a great view over the lake.
Breakfast was nice as was the food in the restaurant, it was good but not amazing as a lot of the other posts have suggested.
Location is ok, as mentioned it has a great view. Downside is the 30 minute walk from town and the fact that it is on a very busy road. There aren’t many walking trails and the hotel didn’t have any information on local walks, local tours and the like.
Set directly on Lake Maggiore, Villa Paradiso has free Wi-Fi with rooms in a 19th-century house surrounded by extensive parkland. It offers a lake-view restaurant and a seasonal outdoor pool.

Everything was lovely, the setting is beautiful, the rooms are modern, the breakfast is good, the view wonderful. We stayed on a rainy weekday off season so did not get to enjoy the terrasse or the beach, but would have wanted to!

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Irene in the breakfast room was the most efficient and happy woman we've come across in many a year, always pleasant and quick - even when things didn't go smoothly. The room was good value for money and the bathroom was large.
Set in the heart of Arona, on the shores of Lake Maggiore, Hotel Atlantic is next to Arona Train Station. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi access.

Staff, Cleanliness, Comfort, Value For Money, Location - all 10/10;
Marco the Bar Man with the red watch strap is particularly helpful;
Could fairly be described as 'Cheap and Cheerful' but in reality it is actually so much better than that!
Decor of the bathrooms from the 1970's but a great modern shower and cubicle;
Nice pizza restaurant on the mezzanine floor across the car park by the train station (look for the bright green lighting);
I would definitely stay here again if re-visiting Arona;
Has this quirky sort of Twin Peaks (the tv show) vibe about it, which is part of its charm;
Located in a quiet street, just 150 metres from Lake Maggiore and near the centre, Hotel Spagna offers the perfect base for exploring the historic city of Arona. All rooms are en suite.

We really enjoyed walking on the lakefront, though the mosquitoes (naturally) seem to love that area too. Be sure to pack repellent spray because they're pretty insistent. The outdoor market by the boat terminal was a pretty nice way to spend half an hour. On our second (and last evening), as we were walking from the city center to our hotel (by the train station) we stumbled upon an outdoor cinema which was pretty cool. One of our favorite places to eat on that particular trip was at Giulietta al Lago. The food was good, we had a table right by the lake (so we were "visited" by swans who got like 2m away from us), and the music was non-stop 80s hits which put me in the absolute best mood.

Arona is a lovely town on the South West shore of Lago Maggiore, just a nice size with plenty of restaurants and bars, many with lake views. A great location to spend a few days or longer in the region.

I had been there a few years ago and it was full of artist and artisan shops. This time is was very commercial, which for me, was disappointing The town is still beautiful by the lake and has a great piazza with entertainment.

We had two days here in February.
We had two days here in February. We really enjoyed it and would visit again. It was fairly quiet which was good. It looked like it could be very busy mid-summer. The full cruise ferries were not working but the shuttle ferry to Angera was still open. We used the train to travel further north where there were other ferries to catch. Would have liked to spend a few more days in and around Arona.

Arona was a perfect destination for a short break.
Arona was a perfect destination for a short break. Just 45 minutes from Milan Malpensa, at the foot of Lake Maggiore. The old town was very pretty with good shops and great choices of affordable restaurants - we like ristorante da Aldo and L'Anticogallo. There is lots to do in the area including bike hire (we cycled up to the national park nearby) and boat trips to neighbouring lakeside towns and islands.
Although a car is helpful we found the buses and trains were good.

I was there only for a business meeting, but the short time I stayed made me fall in love with the town, the scenery and especially the people. I will surely come back one day with my family for a longer stay this region deserves.
One of the best apartments we have ever stayed in. We had the corner apartment overlooking both the piazza and the lake,with a private balcony. The views of the lake and mountains were spectacular. The apartment was large, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Elisabetta was a pleasure to deal with. Convenient parking was available. Cannot recommend more highly.Arona is also a great base on lake Maggiore - it’s a very attractive town.
Nice location , but if you have lake view room ,,,, during reservation it was not so clear to understand this and one is thinking all rooms have lake view ... ! But not ...all... !
Breakfast is ok , dining in the hotel at the evening is maybe not a good choice , the restaurant is little oldfashioned , no vibe , good for big groups , ... dont believe food is great ...
It was very nice place. It was our second stay at this hotel. You feel yourself like at home. Beautiful owner who meets you and helps in any question. Everything is new and very clean. Very good breakfast. Grate place to stay! Location os in the center. And thanks to the host who explains where you can park and how to get to the hotel.
The central location in the old town. The large apartment with every comfort including the nice breakfast. The view from the balcony was superb. We especially appreciated Gabriella and her family‘s assistance with our luggage upon our arrival and departure! It was also great to have a garage as parking in Arona is pretty crowded.
Situated on the shore of Lake Maggiore the hotel is in a brilliant location with stunning views from the restaurant. The room was superb and spotlessly clean. The food in the restaurant great and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was the best we had this holiday with a fantastic choice to suit all tastes.
You are staying in a true place of history ❤️ Our apartments were from the 1500’s. Please see the video for the charm & unbelievable decor. The gardens go for 3 levels of lush grass, fruit trees & flowers. You really need to take a moment to smell the fragrances.
Perfect location next to a castle and its surrounding park and excellent bar/restaurant with very friendly staff. Fantastic views. Very helpful owner. Arona itself is charming and family orientated, with pleasant shops and restaurants.
Hotel is at 5 min walk from the railway station, with nice view on the lake. From the hotel you wander easily at the lakeside, just in front. Breakfast is buffet-style rich of stuff. Room was quiet although a one-way road runs beneath.
Great location, a short walk into Arona along the lake with a supermarket just a short distance away. Great off street parking area. Lovely hosts happy to assist and offer local recommendations. Very clean and comfortable apartment.
The location was idyllic, the apartment was beautifully done and very clean with amazing views of the lake.Very quiet at night even though the apartment is located in the main piazza of Arona.
The hotel is a perfect location close to center. From the balcony there is a wonderful view to the lake.
The staff is very helpful and friendly.
Parking is next to hotel and usually available.
We stayed only one night. Very nice room and bathroom. Clean and comfortable. Lovely view of the lake and the sunrise from the room's windows. Very nice breakfast. Ten minutes drive to Arona.
This is a beautiful, and thoughtfully presented apartment. Michelle and Marco are excellent hosts, with excellent information and suggestions. We highly recommend this apartment in Arona.
Amazing experience, Thanks to Donatella and the staff.
A welcoming hosting for our first night in Italy, a really soft landing.
