Enjoyed having breakfast delivered to room to eat on balcony. Bed was very large and comfortable. Up to date electronic equipment and carving points. View of the beach was incredible from our room. We paid a lot but we thought the hotel would just be "okay" thinking it was just the average price for hotels in the resort town, but in fact we were blown away by the facilities and quality of service. The breakfast buffet was incredible as well.

The beauty of the town is unreal, but it is built on steep hillsides which means that narrow roads and switch backs are not recommended for the unseasoned driver not used to such terrain. If you're not in shape when you get there, you will be by time you leave. There are many, many, many steps and paths around the town. It's very picturesque but also very demanding physically. Probably not the best town for the elderly or those with physical challenges. Taxi's are the best mode of transportation though there is a good local bus system however, busses only come by hourly, and because of the congrestion they are rarely on time.

The views of Positano are amazing . Everyone is really friendly and the food amazing . You need to be fit to get up and down the hills and steps. One of the most stunning places I've ever visited.
One of the most stunning places I've ever visited. Relatively unspoilt as it's difficult to reach and very expensive. Felt like an exclusive holiday location. Colourful buildings springing out of the hills, beautiful climate and STUNNING flora and fauna. All in all, one feels like one has been dropped into paradise on earth. Visiting in April is to be recommended as it feels neither too hot nor too crowded. I can't sing its praises enough. Travelling can be tricky if you have older people in your party - almost every route around the town involves steep steps. Spoilt for choice in terms of eating - we didn't have a bad meal. Shout out to Il Capitano (higher end) and Il Fornillo (slightly more reasonably priced). Recommend day trips to Pompeii and Vesuvius, the Amalfi coast (from Positano to Maiori), boat trip to Capri and Anacapri, and Sorrento.

Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot...
Positano is absolutely amazing, but be ready to walk a lot of stairs, on very very steep trails. Respectfully, this place is not ideal for unfit people. Depending if you’re staying close the beach or on the upper side of the city, you will either have to take the stairs with your luggage or get a taxi, which is not cheap there.
There are a lot of good restaurants to choose from, and also very affordable, even though the city is rated to be quite expensive.
The beach is relatively small, so don’t expect to find a spot to lay down on the sand if you’re travelling during the summer season. As we visited in march, the weather was 10-18 degrees Celsius, which was prefect, also we avoided the crowds and the Mediterranean summer heat of June-August.

Is picturesque.
Is picturesque. Very hilly so if you have mobility problems would be best avoided. It is expensive even for little things like snacks I found it financially beneficial to have a proper meal. Other than that an enjoyable place to visit.

The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in...
The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful destination to visit in Italy. Originally, when booking this location, I thought the area was sold out-it was hard to find accommodations. But once we arrived we learned that the entire Amalfi Coast pretty much goes silent from November to late March. The area has limited restaurants open as well as hotels. So we were lucky we found a home in which to stay. Use the bus SITA to buy a trip to Amalfi to spend 4-5 hours. Well worth the 3euro cost. Other locations available too on this bus line. Sorrento can be visited as well using the public transportation. The winding roads leading from Sorrento to Positano and then to Amalfi will leave you spell bound. Sharp drops, scenic ocean views and the lovely speckle of homes up and down these cliffs is just breath taking. Highly recommend a visit to the area.
We loved everything about Villa Magia. The concierge went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful, arranging transport and luggage pickup, making lunch and dinner reservations, and all around ensuring we had a great stay. The facilities are great and the view from the main terrace is the best in Positano in our opinion. We liked that the hotel was accessible to the center but not right in the middle of the crowds, and our stay felt very relaxing. Also highly recommend their terrace restaurant Luna, excellent menu and again great service.
The location is amazing right on the edge of town with the best view (5 min walk to the busiest part of positano). The hotel has a private beach with sun loungers free of charge which is next to a beach club with a good vibe serving nice cocktails. It also has swimming pool facilities, the restaurant food is exceptional (although hot breakfast options could have been better), lovely wine selection and nice spacious rooms (with jacuzzi bath). Team are very sweet too. Parking cost is also reasonable and onsite.
The Hotel is right above Fornillo beach, which is a short, lovely walk from the main part of Positano. This means you get to escape the crowds of Positano - which are ridiculous during the day with all the boat tours. Each apartment has a lovely terrace so you can sit and enjoy the 180 view of the beach. It is best reached by Ferry as the nearest public car parking is a good 10 min walk down (and up) steep stairs. If you come by car, then only take with you a small bag of necessaries!
I loved everything about the property. From the aperitivo terrace, the restaurant, the coffee, the room and it’s balcony, the overall service of the staff including Rosita who brings so much happiness to the hotel with her disposition and helpfulness, to the pool, and overall grounds. The location is stellar! Also, they are pretty much able to organize anything you need. I don’t understand how the hotel isn’t 5 stars. It’s better than some 5 stars hotels I’ve stayed in :)
This was the most beautiful luxurious hotel. We stayed here for our honeymoon and felt like we didn't even need to leave the facilities to have an incredible time. The breakfast was wonderful and they even delivered it to the room. The Turkish Spa and jacuzzi were lovely, and they even had several beautiful outdoor areas where you could enjoy drinks from the hotel. There is even private access to a wonderful little beach. This a great find for Positano!
Best location in Positano, close to the bus stop so you can easily use the busses to go everywhere on the Amalfi coast. Easy to walk in to the town and the two beaches. At night you can take a bus to get back up right outside the hotel. The breakfast was good and big. Personal are outstanding and really helpful. The balcony has a stunning view and you get your breakfast delivered to your room. Would recommend everyone to stay at Villa Palumbo.
location is Amazing! The Villa was immaculate, comfortable more like a 5 star hotel. The staff essentially was available for every need we have, booking taxis and tours whatever we needed and made sure everything was perfect! I recommend Villa Aldo Marino, our Hostess Viviann who saw after each request, and Staff Marco who made us amazing breakfast every morning and of course Aldo who helped with the luggage and smiles…. Bellissimo Villa Aldo!
Location and staff hospitality.
When we arrived, warm welcome from reception and the beltboy and staff are so helpful to carry up the heavy luggage and the welcome drink and your cheerful smile when we arrived.
Hotel room are clean with amazing view from the room.
They do explained very details on the map of Positano and given perfect guide to travel and hand around at Positano.
Clean functional room with a large balcony and sun beds. Private enough. Bathroom: sparkling clean. Tiled floors: spotless and welcoming.
The owners were gracious and kind and professional. We felt welcome and pampered.
Access to Positano center and Praiano was easy by car. Buses available but we did not take any. Hotel shuttle available but we did not need it. All good !
This is one of the best hotels i stay at in Italy, the location, the cleanliness, the magic view, and most of all, we were hosted by an amazing kind person Antonio. He helped us a lot before the arrival on the way arounds, the luggage and recommendations in where to eat and go during our stay. Thank you Antonio for making our stay an outstanding experience.

Va bene Hotel Pupetto, Va bene!
All the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. They did their best to make sure your requests were met and that your experience was an enjoyable one. There are 70+ steep steps into the Hotel but well worth the climb to enjoy the views. You can best enjoy the views over breakfast on the terrace overlooking Positano and the coast.
The hotel is amazing, we stayed in the helios suite. The best view of positano bay, amazing balcony hot tub and awesome room.
Loved the room service cocktails, reasonably priced and always came with Italian snacks.
Be sure to go down the private access steps to the beach, great experience but be ready for a hike back up! :)
The view was breath taking! The breakfast area overlooks all of Positano- great for photos! There are also two other rooftop decks for beautiful sunset photos. The brunch was exceptional and the service was 5 star! We were very happy with our choice of hotel and it was our favorite of our whole trip.
Lovely family run hotel with beautiful decor. Terrace area had very comfy chairs & loungers with fabulous view of Positano and the sea. Food was excellent. Staff very good, friendly & attentive. Room very spacious with lovely balcony with views
The best hotel we have stayed in during our trip to Italy
Breathtaking view of the sea.
The staff were extremely nice and helpful
Do not use google maps to get to the hotel as we did, you will end up clamping more than 1000 stairs steps.
The views are exceptional! Tess was amazing! She provided some of the best breakfast I’ve had with staying at hotels. She arranged the porters for the luggage and the transportation to the villa! 5 stars and definitely will be back.
Espectacular place with amazing view, Carla is amazing. She contact us and gave all the information needed for our stay in Positano. Carla’s breakfast was the best on our stay in Italy! 100% recommended!
Viviana was one of the best hosts I’ve had while traveling. Will definitely be recommending all my friends who come to Positano to stay here. 5 stars!!
