Il Poggiolo delle Rose enjoys a countryside location, but is only 10 minutes' drive from Florence historic centre. It has good motorway and bus links. Rooms here are comfortable, bright and modern.

The apartment is amazing, super comfortable. The location is quiet, so one can rest easily and no noises at all. A special mention to Fabrizia, the owner, who was absolutely kind with my family and me, giving us a lot of recommendations both for Florence as well as in Tavarnuzze (like where to eat, have a coffee and how to take the bus to Florence -which is super easy, just half a block away!-) and even some other cities around Tuscany; plus always quick at the phone for any questions. The bedroom, and specially the beds are totally comfortable and the bathroom is perfectly equiped.
Would totally stay again if we go back to Florence!
Just 200 metres from Accademia Gallery, Le Due Fontane is a 3-star hotel offering air-conditioned from 1st of july to1st of oct., rooms with free WiFi.
Just around the corner from Santa Maria Novella Church and the train station, Florence's Hotel Croce di Malta is a former convent featuring a lovely inner garden with swimming pool.

The location was great for us as we were doing some excursions that involved going to the train station (Santa Novella), which was only about 8 minutes away. It was also close to main attraction and had good restaurants nearby. Osteria Pastella along the road was amazing, but you must book before you get there! The hotel has been modernised, big rooms and has a great pool and provide a great breakfast
Located next to the cloisters of Florence’s Santa Maria Novella Basilica, Hotel Alba Palace is an elegantly renovated property with a peaceful courtyard.

Our room was big enough for myself and my husband. The ensuite was lovely, only minor problem was that the shower tended to flood the bathroom however as we were provided with a large number of twoels it was never a problem. The TV didn't have any English speaking channels again not a problem for us though it did have Netflix. Breakfast was suberb with a choice of any type of coffee you wanted, plentiful and kept permanently well stocked. The lady on breakfast duty was charming and always very helpful. The location was great as not too far from the train and tram stations and a 20 minute walk to most of the major attractions. There was a free cocktail (Happy Hour) on one of the evenings with nibbles and finger food.
Hotel Argentina is a few steps from the River Arno, less than a 10-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Station. Staff at this 3-star hotel speak good English.

Hotel Martelli is housed in an elegant, historic building which once belonged to Florentine nobles. Both the Cathedral and Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station are 200 metres away.

Excellent location. Friendly, very helpful staff. Good value for the centre of Florence.
A lovely hotel in a quiet 'out of town' location in the Tuscan countryside, yet only about 20 minutes by bus from the centre of Florence. The last bus back is at about 11.15pm so you can still enjoy an evening in the city without worrying about the time.
The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, Fabrizia and her husband could not have been better hosts.
I would highly recommend a bottle or two of the local Chianti which they sell on site, and a meal at the local restaurant about 10 minutes walk away.
