Just across the street from the Uxmal Pyramids, and a 40 minutes' drive from Merida. This historic resort offers an outdoor pool and a working plantation filled with fruit trees and jogging trails.

At the Uxmal archeological site. Big hotel. Our room (suite) was huge and comfortable. The pool was very pleasant. The restaurant of their sister property was just a few minutes walk.
Amid the Yucatan jungle, Uxmal Resort Maya offers an outdoor swimming pool, wading pool and free Wi-Fi connection throughout the property.

Uxmal Resort Maya offers accommodations that meet basic Mexican standards. The hotel is conveniently located just 3 km from the archaeological site, making it an easy walk for those who want to go to the site by walk. We recommend visiting the site around 3 pm, just before closing time. During our visit in May, the temperatures were unbearably hot, but this time of day was slightly cooler and much less crowded. After exploring the ruins, we found the hotel’s pool to be a perfect place to relax and cool off. The rooms are spacious and equipped with air conditioning, and ours had a lovely view of the Uxmal ruins in the distance.
Set a 2-minute walk from the traditional village of Santa Elena, The Pickled Onion Eco-Boutique B&B features charming thatched bungalows, an outdoor pool and a restaurant.
Located a 5-minute drive from Santa Elena town, Eco-Hotel Nueva Altia offers lush tropical gardens, an outdoor pool and palapa dining room.

My family and I enjoyed our stay a lot. Waking up with the sounds of birds, jumping in the swimming pool and do yoga before a well done breakfast. And the service was top level.
Posada El Jardín is an eco-friendly property that offers free Wi-Fi in public areas, sun terraces by the outdoor pool, and a palapa that serves coffee for a fee.

Perfect location, hideaway in the village, surprisingly quiet. Nice pool in the middle of a garden. The host was always ready to please you. Authentic village with plenty to discover around. Would go back
Spent about 3 hours at Uxmal site. Lots of large sites to see and you can wander at your own pace. It was my favorite of the sites we visited on the trip. Tickets and entry could be clearer and signage at sites in Mexico is always lacking, but the quality of the ruins and architecture is fantastic. The scale, intimacy of the visit, and amount of ruins is superb.

To really get to experience Mayan culture, the near by towns and cenotes and more archeological sites I would recommend a week in Uxmal .
I loved every minute we were there .
I would also recommend having a much spending money as possible, not because things are expensive it is that there is so much to do and it will cost money .
Horse riding , vintage 4WD hire , the prices for the sites and tours has risen due to the pandemic .
Also supporting local artists .

We traveled by car because my older sister has specific food needs due to ALS. A blender, two boxes of food and a cooler were graciously hauled to and from our room by the hotel staff. They could not have been more accommodating and helped to supplement her diet with fresh food from the kitchen.
It was my sister's fifth and probably final trip to the awe inspiring sites of the Yucatan. We are so grateful for the experience.

Uxmal charges US citizen 4 times regular admission.
Uxmal charges US citizen 4 times regular admission. Hotel Uxmal Maya charges 33% more for using US money or cards. Do not go if you don’t want to feel ripped off. Nothing special about hotel as at every turn you have to be guarded about being ripped off.

The bed was very firm and the hot water took a little longer than I would like but everything else was just fantastic. The food was amazing the staff tried to help us find anything we were looking for. It was a nice welcoming place to stay
In a fantastic position just across from the entrance to Uxmal site.
Lovely room and area to sit outside.
We arrived in a downpour which lasted several hours so were not able to use the lovely pools.
Good breakfast provided.
The onsite restaurant/bar was overpriced , that would be my only criticism.
We were upgraded to a very nice room at The Lodge hotel which is next to the pyramids and very pleased with the facilities and services.
The room was very comfortable with a large bathroom tub, good air conditioning, fans and beautiful carved wooden door, displaying a well sculpted Mayan design.
Beautiful hotel in perfect location for exploring Uxmal. We loved it so much we stayed a second night ! Of a bygone era with wide tiled walkways, wooden furniture and large, well equipped rooms. We had a room on the 3rd floor with an outlook over the gardens and loved it.
Great location, just 2 minutes from Uxmal (by car).
Nice view in the garden and surroundings.
Has a restaurant inside (as there are not to many options nearby)..... perfect for a night stopover to visit Uxmal as early in the morning as possible. Great price.
Loved this classic mid-century design. Spacious rooms. Great view of the pool. The rooftop solarium is an extra bonus with a view of the Uxmal ruins, great sunsets and sunrises, as well as watching some great thunderstorms. The beef steak is amazing.
This is my favorite hotel in Mexico and I have traveled all through the country
I have staying here since the late 70s and it never disappointments. It is an oasis with a great swimming pool, important after a hot day exploring Mayan sites
The location within the jungle and proximity to Uxmal, archaeological site; the swimming pool. The elder attendant that helped carry my luggage out to my car. That there was an on-site free parking lot.
The perfect place to stay after the Uxmal night show. The property is lovely, and the pool is the highlight. Breakfast was a bit pricey but very delicious. The staff was incredibly attentive.
Nice staff, great location just next to the Uxmal archeological site (you can see the ruins from your balcony) and Cacao museum. We enjoyed the mayan ritual temazcal, that was perfect!
It was magnificent to spend time at such a museum hotel. We enjoyed it a lot.
Very convenient for Uxmal visit early in the morning.. The choco Museo was also a pleasant visit .
