The lake frontage with stunning views of the mountains and lake and choices of eateries catering for vegetarians Good parking but roadworks made it difficult at times to get around Would recommend the Big Fig for vegetarians and Charlie Brown for great crepes

We were amazed by the location near the lake with clean air, nice ambience in the Hotel Restaurant, with good food! I should have reserved 2 or 3 nights there. We booked 3 rooms all of us enjoyed it. Can swim, water activities and more.

A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown.

A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown. I could've stayed here weeks. It was a great location to be based at for Roy's Peak Summit, more hiking and days spent by the lake. Bonus activity was a dinner and movie night at Cinema Paradiso. A really lovely town with a very live-able atmosphere.

Wanaka itself is a lovely spot.

Wanaka itself is a lovely spot. It was lovely without being too much of a tourist trap. The art gallery I visited was very good, and the two local restaurants also good and reasonably priced. The staff at the Thai restaurant were especially friendly and helpful. I wish I had stayed long enough to drive out to a few places from Wanaka.

This place is set up like a classic "motor hotel", with every room being able to park right outside your door, but once inside the quality of the furnishings was like a high-end business class hotel. We all remarked on how everything was so much nicer than one would expect from a "motel". The guy at the front desk was also super nice and helpful. Location, while not much to walk to, was a quick drive to everything, very convenient for travelers with a car.

The Hawea hotel surprised us in terms of the view from the room. It's a quaint little hotel in a sleepy town with gorgeous view that cannot be described in words or captured on a camera. It overlooks the Hawea lake with a mountain backdrop. The restaurant is also pretty amazing with good food options and a view that makes eating there a pleasure in itself. Will highly recommended it.

Beautiful accomodations with an absolutely stunning view from the balcony! Staff were very friendly and accomodating to our requests (thank you!)! Easy drive in to Wanaka, very close to Isthmus Peak Trail Head (awesome), lovely bike/walk/running trail just outside the hotel. We loved our 2 nights here (family of 3) and would absolutely stay here again! Loved it!!!!!!!!! Thank you!

Really love the hotel and also the staffs are so nice. the location of hotel also a bit near to some bars and lake. For the room, we rent the family type one.The room it self also a bit spacious and clean and they also have electric blanket which my parents like. If you like to cook by your self, they have some cooking utensils like whisks, knife, stove as well

Fantastic apartment with wonderful views of Lake Wanaka. It has everything that you may need including a small kitchen. Noelene and Bob are wonderful hosts and couldn’t have been more helpful and the breakfast that they provided out most hotels to shame. We are considering moving into their apartment permanently it was so good. we will be back.

I pretty much never do reviews. I travel throughout NZ & Aus staying in Motels & Hotels. The friendliness of the staff is outstanding. Room was good & what a fantastic view. Also booked a spa at sunset which was amazing especially with the view of the mountain range. Highly recommend the place.
